Chapter 48 - A place to stay

Gesine:

It's been two days of traveling. The supplies that were given to us by Karon were used efficiently. Though Esmond hasn't woken up yet, I managed to force Cassandra into healing him.

It was definitely a lot of work, but after her sobbing, I took advantage of that to play with her emotions and tell her how sad Esmond's life has been. It was a huge success; she even shed a tear while healing him.

I patched up Esmond's wound, and Cassandra and I would take turns washing his body. Things got a little weird.

She would ask me to leave every time when it's her turn to clean Esmond. I didn't leave, of course, because she's a suspicious woman.

But then again, you can't really ignore his body shape. It's shameless of me to look, but every time I close my eyes, they just peek open on their own.

"Where are we going now?" Cassandra was sitting down beside Esmond.
