Chapter 49 - A familiar face

I walked down the hotel and headed to the lobby, where I found the receptionist. I talked to her and said, "Tell your staff that if they hear any sounds from room 17, please don't hesitate to barge in and check the surroundings." I smiled at her, to which she nervously nodded.

Every step I took, I only thought about what Cassandra would do if they were alone. Ugh! I can't focus right now. Damn it, there's a lot to think about, but another one just added.

I walked past the streets and headed straight towards the market. It was rowdy and full of voices.

"Alright, let's get the essentials and leave immediately!"

First things first, the seasonings. I'm not particularly a good cook, but I'll learn somehow. I'll have to cook since Esmond won't be able to move for a couple of days if he happens to wake up.
