What is this feeling of connection?
Julia stood there lost in thoughts, without replying to Adele.
"Julie? Are you listenin to me?".Adele faintly tapped on her shoulder.
"Ah...haha...yes! I'm listenin, I'm listenin".Julia stuttered her words.
"Well then, let's go to the cafeteria and eat somethin, our ones had been kept separated by the cooks!"
"Oh!...Okay"
After having their lunch, peacefully at the cafeteria, both of them were ambling through the hallway.
"Thanks for the lunch Ady, it was really delicious".Julia turned to Adele and gave a fond hug to her.
*ring-ring*
"Oops, the bell rang, gotta go, Byee!"
After Julia left, Adele's heart started racing crazily, her face was all reddened and her palm had turned icy cool of being nervous.
A while later, the classes were ended. As usual, Adele's driver came to pick her up in the grand limousine and drove off to the mansion.
As soon as they reached the mansion, Adele looked around and felt relieved as she found out that Eleanor had not yet came back from the company.
Hurriedly, she darted towards her room, and plopped on her bed by squishing her face over a pillow.
Goodness! What is happenin with me? The more I look at Julie...the more my heart pounds!
Literally it feels like my chest is hurtin..but why? Why do I feel like this only when Julie is near me?
"Ahhhh".Adele screamed out loud with her voice echoing along the whole mansion.
Hearing the scream, Marie rushed to Adele's room. She got panicked to see her face being whole reddened, as if she had a high fever. Worriedly, she went closer to Adele and asked with trembling throat.
"Y-your highness, are you alright?"
"No I'm not Marie, my heart...it's aching"
"Huh?! I am going to call over the family doctor, I was not aware that you were in such pain, Don't worry your highne-"
"No wait, it's not what you think Marie"
Marie who was holding onto the handset of telephone kept at Adele's room while dialing to the royal doctor's number, stopped immediately, then looked at her with a bemused expression and asked.
"Then...what did you mean by your heart aching?"
"I mean, Urgh! how I'm gonna tell you this, hm...so, whenever I see this person or even if I'm thinkin 'bout this person...my heart, it beats crazily, like it's gonna explode or somethin"
*giggles*
Adele paused and looked at Marie with an embarrassed face as she was giggling to what she said. Watching that, she pouted her lips with frowning her eyebrows and spoke.
"Huh? What is it Marie, why're you laughin?"
"Nothing! The reason for your heart to react like this is...you have fallen in love with this person, your highness".Marie smiled gracefully.
"L-LOVE?".Her eyes got wide opened with shock of hearing to Marie's words
"Yes! But...who is this person?"
Her shoulders flinched as she heard Marie's words. Adele felt inappropriate of telling Marie that she had fallen in love with her own daughter Julia.
"When the time comes I'll tell you who this person is...'Kay Marie?".She said without meeting her eyes.
"Um...sure your highness, now, you should go and freshen up yourself, it's going to be the time for dinner".She bowed her head down as she said.
"Uh...Yes, I'm goin"
As Marie left, Adele went to the bathroom for freshening up herself. When she entered inside, the maids had prepared a lavish bath for her. Warm water was gurgling inside the massive tub with exquisite wines arranged aside it on a small table. The whole area was covered by the pleasant fragrance of lavender essenced deluxe bath fizzies.
Adele changed to her robe and strode towards the tub. No longer enough, the maids went outside. She then slowly took off the dark bath robe from her glassy, white skin and entered inside the bath tub with a relaxed hum tone.
Enjoying the soothed feeling of that pampering, she was thinking about Marie's words from before. Having further thoughts, like always, in her brain again began an intense argument.
Ardent Adele: Milord, As I said before. That heart beating and feeling of anxiety, Ahh! It's love, She had fallen in love!
Senti Adele: hic...Milord,I...I agree with Ardent Adele...hic...finally she has found her one and only...hic
Shy Adele: Um...Milord...my opinion...Um
Fierce Adele: *sulking because Ardent Adele's opinion turned out to be correct*
Wise Adele: *mumbles* Well, it would good for me to not give my opinion for this silly situation
[ Wise & Ardent Adeles started arguing ]
*Bang-bang*
Judge Adele: Keep quiet! Ardent Adele's opinion came out to be correct so it's confirmed that she won the case
*Applause*
"Sigh, guess Marie's right, I'm really in love with Julie, Hm..."
With embarrassment, Adele quickly stooped her head inside of water. An hour later, she was done with her bath, changed onto her pajamas made of pure silk and went downstairs for having dinner.
As usual, she was sitting alone on that grand dining table and viewed her reflection through the shimmering glass of it. All of the maids in the mansion had already went to their houses. It was only Marie, who stayed there a little longer, since she was the head maid.
"Your highness, I am going home now, please enjoy your meal".Marie said in a respectful accent.
Adele looked at the tall, pendulum clock placed aside their huge dining room and realized it was already, past seven in the evening.
"You should go home fast Marie, it would get dark soon and...Julie would be waintin for you!".She uttered her last words with a worried heart.
"As you please, your highness"
Marie left the mansion with a glad smile on her face of hearing Adele being concerned for Julia.
After she left, Adele ate her dinner and went upstairs. Next when she was going towards her room, her decision changed and walked to the master bedroom of her parents which had been kept locked by Eleanor after the king's death. Being alone, she thought of having a quick glance of the room.
To open the room, Adele sneaked inside of her mother's room and took the keys from her personal cupboard carefully so that she could not notice anything.
With keys hanging on her finger, she darted towards the bedroom and unlocked it. Running her gaze all over, she entered inside the room and got surprised of seeing the great royal sword of the Embiran family, placed aside the lovely marriage picture of her parents.
Adele lightly touched the royal sword with her slender, delicate hands. Suddenly, it glowed with letting out an amber beam shining over her pretty blue orbs.
"Wh-what is this?"
As Adele tried on preventing the light from entering her eyes, she accidentally pressed over the sword. All of a sudden, the walls split apart by making an entrance towards an another room. She stood there without any expressions over her face.
Like how quickly a spark of fire spreads all over a region, a feeling of curiosity then spread through all her veins. By setting her foot inside, she entered that mysterious room without having any fear or anxiety in her mind.
While going in further, there was a small staircase which led towards the main room, so she stepped down the stairs and felt astonished of seeing the huge, ancient portraits of the ancestors of their royal family.
Adele viewed all the portraits with great wonder and learnt their names which were written in beautiful calligraphy lettering, aside in small wooden boards. But when she approached the last picture, it was covered with a black, velvet cloth.
"Huh? Why is this one only covered like this? But not the other ones?".Adele mumbled to herself.
Then, she read the little description on the board aside of the portrait which was written as -'The Great Princess of Embiran Family', but unless the other portraits, the name of the that family member was not visible, it had been faded away.
Eventually, her curiosity increased and she uncovered the portrait. As she viewed it, she stood there stunned of seeing a girl looking exactly like her in that picture. Those long, brown hair, deep-blue ocean eyes, slim pointed nose, perfectly curved lips and that white, pretty skin, everything of hers were similar to that girl in the picture.
At that moment, suddenly, a beam of unfamiliar memories rapidly flashed through Adele's mind. Her whole body was shuddering with shock, an electric feeling went through her spine which made her knees to stumble down on the floor. With tightly closing her eyes and covering her ears, she screamed out loud of being frightened.
"Ahhhhhhh"
