7:00 a. m
It was Sunday and the company plan on doing a team building. I was a manager so I am one of the person who is assign to design and plan for the activities of the team building.
As one of the person in charge, I planned to make a game, a game that would also benefit me of course but definitely might also hurt me.
8:00 a. m
I was standing next to Mr. CEO/ kabit (Mr. Gabrielle Gutierrez) when he announced the start of the game.
The game is called find the penny. It's a game where you have to find a penny in which the penny has a corresponding number of amount, if the player find one coin that means he or she will be sleeping in the most uncomfortable bed and will be eating the worst dinner. While the one who gets the highest amount of penny will have the most comfortable sleeping bed and most delicious food for tonight.
In my memory Marcus place 1st place in this game back then but will see now, because I switched all of the places of the penny.
8:30 a. m
30 minutes after the game started and wala pa din nakaka hanap sa kanila sa mga penny na tinago ko.
I plan naman na sundan si Marcus upang tignan kung tama nga ba ang hinala ko na tutulugan ito ni Gabrielle, he gets the first place back then probably because of Gabrielle.
Marcus was a sensitive person and I know that if he gets the most uncomfortable bed he would come crawl to Gabrielle...and that; that's when I can get a chance to get some prof again.
"Gab, you're here". I heard a voice not far away from where I was. I followed it and saw Gabrielle and Marcus.
I hide at the tree that was right behind them so I can clearly hear their voice.
"Did you know where the pennis are?". Tanong agad ni Marcus.
"Oh my! I'm sorry it slipped out of my mind". Yes that's right Gabrielle forgot to ask me.
Do they think they are smart, well they are not.
"Why did you forget it?". Medyo galit na wika ni Marcus halata ang pagka inis sa boses nito.
"You know how sensitive I am, I can't sleep on just a rug or something, even in bench I can't". Sabi pa nito.
"Just find something, if ever you get the last place I'll just help you, we will just check in at a hotel". Sambit naman ni Gabrielle, walang hiya napaka lalandi.
Hindi na din ako nag tagal sa kung nasaan ang dalawa at umalis na din, hinintay ko na mag tanghali at duon nga ay isa-isa ng naka balik ang mga player.
"I'm tired can I get some water?". Monica ask she get the 3rd place which means 8 pennies is all that she have.
Ini abot na din sakin isa-isa ng ibang player ang lahat ng nakuha nila at kagaya ng inaasahan ko nakuha ni Marcus ang pinaka huling pwesto.
6:00 p. m
Sumapit ang hapunan at gaya ng napag usapan nasa natalo ang pinaka hindi ka aya-aya na pagkain, pero para lang naman iyon sa hapunan at bilang katuwaan lang.
I prepared most of the food so I make sure that Marcus wouldn't really like what he's going to receive as his supper.
"What? Bitter melon and dried fish?". Naka simangot na usal ni Marcus.
"Ew, I'm glad I didn't get that I'm okay with the dried fish but I hate bitter melon". Wika naman ni Trixie.
Naka musdot na pinilit ni Marcus na kainin ang hapunan nya, habang ito ay nag durusa sa pagkain ng mga iyon karamihan naman sa amin ay nasisiyahan sa nakuha namin na pagkain.
7:00 p. m
Natapos ang kwentuhan at kainan nag huhugas ako ng aking kamay ng maka sabay ko si Jasmine.
"Ms. Ximenez?". Wika nito at napa lingon naman ako.
"Why?". Tanong ko sabay balik sa ginagawa ko.
"Didn't you prepare the food for Marcus?". Muling imik nito.
"Yeah. Why?". Marahil ay nag tataka ito sa ginawa ko.
"Didn't he hate bitter melon and everyone knows that. By chance are you two in a fight that's why you did that?". Naka kunot ang nuong tanong nito sa akin.
Pinatay ko naman ang gripo saka hinarap ito.
"No, we are fight, it's just that I know that everyone under this company hates bitter melon so it would be fun if I cook that". Tumango naman lang ito saka ay nag paalam na din at umalis para mag pahinga.
Lumakad na ako papunta sa camper van na kung saan ako matutulog ng mapansin ko na wala sa higaan nya si Marcus kaya naman naisip ko na libutin ang paligid malapit sa campsite.
Hindi sa kalayuan ay naka rinig ang tunog. Nakita ko si Marcus at Gabrielle, they were kissing intimately.
"Don't worry, after they were all asleep we will check out at a hotel huh?". Wika ni Gabrielle matapos nitong halikan si Marcus, tila ba nagkaroon sila ng away ng dahil sa nangyari at minamayo mayo nito si Marcus.
Umalis ako matapos ng nakita ko, wala sa sarili ko akong nag lakad pabalik sa campsite at tila tulog na ang lahat maliban sa isa.
"Are you okay?". Natigilan ako sa tanong ni Lexi na nakatayo sa labas ng camper van na tutulugan nya, yes she's the one who won the game kanina.
Pumihit ako sa direksyon nya at hindi ko na nga napigilan ang pag buhos ng luha ko sa aking mga mata.
"Why? What can you do if I'm not?". I asked while sobbing.
Lumapit ito sakin at isang mahigpit na yakap ang sa akin ay ibinigay.
"This, this is all I can do and if it's not enough I'm sorry". Sambit nito habang hinahaplos ang aking buhok.
"I don't know what you're going through but please be gentle to yourself, don't hurt yourself that much". I can feel the sincerity in her words which made my heart even weak, no one ever care for me like this except my parents.
"Please take care of yourself not for someone else but for yourself". Hindi ko mapigilan na maluha sa mga bisig nya. Napaka sakit ng lahat ng pangyayari para sakin, tanggap ko na hindi na ako ang mahal ni Marcus ngunit sa tuwing nakikita ko sya na hawak ng iba nasasaktan ako.
Napaka sakit, ang sakit sakit, sobrang sakit.
