"Heh. Are those the kind of lines that get you the girl?" A burly guy with a buzzcut, Luna was pretty sure his name was Brent, slapped Mark on the arm. The beefy man towered over Mark's more slender form.
That was another complication to Luna accepting Mark's friendship. Everyone, for some reason, believed that the two of them were dating. Adam was one of those people-no, he was the one who actively spread that rumor because he honestly believed that they were dating no matter how many times Mark tried to correct his misunderstanding.
Mark lowered his head after catching her eye, removing Brent's arm from his shoulder, he said at the same time, "I don't know how many more times I can say this. We aren't dating, we're just friends."
"Sure!" Brent laughed, clearly not believing Mark. "Whatever floats your boat!" He chortled to himself, leaving a stunned Mark behind as he went over to where the other former lacrosse players were.
