Third person POV
Russell and his friends were amazed and enamored by the good selection of ice creams Jan had made for them using his Primary Novel ability.
"Wow, so many flavors…" Azalea commented.
Rai's and Ria's mouths were drooling at how tasty-looking the ice creams were.
Adrian was amazed.
"Well, it's for free as a first try," Jan happily said to them.
And so, Russell and his friends grabbed the ice creams and shared them to each other, tasting them delightfully. Some were amazed incredibly while others were enamored by their sweet and varying flavors. The group felt as if a gust of blizzard had struck their tongues like an avalanche, cooling them off under the sunny weather. John liked the cheese flavor, while Azalea's tongue was almost hypnotized by the sweetness of the strawberry flavor. Adrian and Alder liked the chocolate flavor a lot. Jan was happy to see that they liked his ice creams very well. A bit later, just as he and his group had finished their dessert and picnic food, Russell said thank you to Jan for giving them free samples of those ice creams.
"Yes, no problem," Jan happily replied back, "I am happy to let you guys try them for the first time. Anyways, what's your name, kid? My name is Jan Husten, and I live in Rane Town, in the Province of Yanela."
The reincarnated ice cream vendor then offered a handshake to Russell.
Accepting it, Russell replied positively, "Nice to meet you, Jan-san. My name is Russell May of Fort Right, the Southern Plains."
His friends then said their introductions of themselves to Jan.
"It's my pleasure to meet you all," Jan said to them happily.
Just then, an SS-ranked monster in the form of a giant worm appeared in the scene, growling at them with hostility. Upon hearing, Russell and everyone looked at it and were alerted by its hunting presence. "Guys, watch out," Jan, also an S-ranked ice mage and adventurer with a Level at Level 42, said to them seriously. "That's a Valley Worm. It's dangerous, and it can swallow you guys whole." The young man then wielded his magical staff, which had been stored on his back the whole time, and summoned ice magic, called Frost, of the Ice Magic Category, much to their surprise.
"Ice magic?" Azalea commented.
"This is called Frost, a C-ranked Secondary ability," Jan responded seriously, before attacking the Valley Worm by firing a blizzard-like attack at it.
This paralyzed the monster in its position, and ice shards started to form and crystallize in its bottom on the ground, freezing.
Russell and his group were in awe to see Jan's ability.
"Woah…"
"So cool!"
"Man, amigo is so cool…"
Then, while holding the Valley Worm paralyzed in his icy attack, Jan turned towards them for a bit, "Guys, if you can fight with any weapon or magic, then help me out. I'll hold this monster as much as I can."
Eventually, Russell and his group did so, lunging and attacking the monster with their weapons and abilities.
Russell used his lightning magic to electrocute the monster, while his dragon friends fired ice shards at the Valley Worm's crab-hard skin.
Nathan used his Wolf Control ability to summon any wolves in the area, and 3 Dark Wolves and 2 Blood Wolves came to the scene.
"Attack this monster!" Nathan commanded them.
The 5 summoned wolves did so, lunging at the monster and attacking it indiscriminately.
Azalea and the others used their magical abilities and weapons to attack the monster effectively.
Adrian used his sword to slash at its skin, while Alder fired arrows at it constantly.
Cassius used his sword laced with lightning magic to slash the monster into 3 parts.
Russell then used his sword to behead the Valley Worm, cutting its head.
In all, with all of their combined effort and teamwork, the huge and hostile Valley Worm monster was defeated, killed, and diced into pieces. With that, Jan was finally able to deactivate his Frost ability and looked at them with a thumbs-up. "Thanks."
