Third person POV
The duel between Russell and Daniel lasted for a few minutes. By that time, many of the academy's students noticed that and stopped by just to watch it with amazement. Most of them knew about them, while others knew one of them at least. Ian and Erdmann are also in the crowd watching the duel.
"Man, these two doing are so cool!" one female student exclaimed.
"Yeah, they are!" shouted another in cheering.
And then, some of the teachers and professors of the school saw that and were shocked.
But, these faculty staff members couldn't help but watch their duel.
And then, just 5 minutes before class time started, the duel ended with a tie. Russell and Daniel are now very exhausted, having used most of their mana for this duel alone. But both of them miraculously didn't have any injuries at all. The crowd of students and faculty staff members then cheered for them and applauded their duel. Russell and Daniel noticed that and were embarrassed by their unexpected duel at the beginning of a school day. But the crowd assured them that it was completely fine since duels, for them at this place of education, seldomly happened, much to their chagrin. So, as the crowd slowly dissipated, Russell and Daniel complimented each other's ability and strength with no bragging or contempt. Ian and Erdmann came to them and complimented their duel greatly, before apologizing to Russell for their disobedience towards Janet a few days ago.
"Thank you, you two," Russell humbly and positively replied back to them. "That's okay. Remember to take responsibility for your actions, okay?"
"Yes, we will." Ian nodded with a promise.
After that, with a few minutes to spare, Daniel, Ian, and Erdmann revealed to Russell about Brygida's harassment of Janet. Russell understood that, saying, "She already told me that."
"Is that so?" Ian asked.
Russell then nodded.
"Okay…" Erdmann replied while thinking, "…we must stop her evil actions before Janet would do something drastic…We need to come up with a plan."
Russell and the others then nodded in agreement.
And so, the bus driver and the three students began to devise a plan to expose Brygida's misdeeds to the headmaster. The three students planned to take note of Brygida's misbehavior towards Janet for a day or two. Russell then added his part to the plan by recording her misdeeds on paper with his journal. But he wasn't sure about that, thinking of a different solution to it. But nevertheless, the four of them finished formulating their plan and parted ways before class started. Russell left the school grounds and rode on his bus to search for Samuel. After much finding around the medieval city, he found him practicing his earth magic in an empty field in the northern part of the city. After that, Russell got off and passed the information about Janet and her being harassed by Brygida. Luckily, Samuel, who had known Janet for quite some time now, was shocked to hear someone from this world was harassing a Renad like Janet. So, the reincarnated plumber joined in Russell's plan against Brygida.
Luckily, someone, who was Sylas, met Samuel by chance and gave him a tip about Brygida and her dark motives. Samuel, though not knowing about Sylas or Brygida, then took his tip as information for him, so he thanked Sylas for that and left. Also, luckily, later in the afternoon after work hours, Brygida wanted plumbing to be installed in her cottage home so she researched Samuel and found him in a café, asking him to do that. After exchanging basic info contacts with each other, Samuel knew that he had found his target, so he agreed to do that for her, tricking her in order to sneak into her home to find any dirt on her. Russell, meanwhile, went on his short bus routes and as near Garion City as possible in order to go back there as early as possible for his plan against Brygida.
And so, both of them went into Brygida's slightly palatial cottage home in the western part of the city. There Samuel did some measurements and digging to determine the correct measurements for the plumbing. Luckily, a river was located 14 yards from the house, so Samuel used it to pump and collect water for the pipes at the house. He did so, with some simple and powerless equipment for collecting, pumping, and purifying water, before installing the faucets and testing them.
While doing his job, once Brygida left the house to talk to her neighbors for afternoon gossip, Samuel took his chances to search the house for anything to testify against her. After much finding, he found her diary and began flipping the pages for any dirt on her. And then, a few pages containing linear diary entries of her hatred towards Janet, as well as some sketches of how to get rid of her in a few ways had shocked Samuel to the core.
"What the bloody hell are these things?" his mind asked.
Samuel then took out his leather notepad and charcoal pencil, wrote a few, short lines, and copied the sketches into simpler ones, before planning to steal her diary when the right time and place came.
