Russell's POV
After that short note-taking, I turned around towards the fortified city and to my party, who were still playing around and having fun, before walking towards them. "Hey, guys," I said to them, "I'll be back."
Hearing that, they stopped playing around and looked at me.
"Huh? Where are you going?"
"You're going to the marketplace?"
"Yes," replied I, "I'll just buy some supplies, that's all."
I then left the estate and into the urban, fortified city on foot, leaving my party to take care of themselves and my estate and its elderly caretaker.
Now walking through the city's huge and busy marketplace, I am now looking for any tannery that produces good and high-quality leather, as well as shops that sell that stuff. The place was busy at this hour, with shoppers and sellers engaging in constant business transactions every couple of seconds. After much finding and searching, I finally found one, which is a shop in a tenement housing. The owner, who was a nearly aged man with a grey beard, was stretching some newly processed skin in a wooden frame, and around him hung some newly made leather.
Thinking that I could buy leather there, I went there. "Good morning, sir."
The man heard that and finished stretching his recent leather, before turning towards me.
"Yes?" he asked me with a little raspy tone on his voice.
"Do you sell leather?" I asked him nicely and politely.
"Yes, I am, are you here to buy some of my leather?"
"Yes, sir, two rolls of it and 3 meters in each roll, please."
The man then responded by getting two rolls of it from a shelf inside the shop, before going to me and giving them to me. "Here you go, youngster. That'll be 14 gold coins each, please."
So, I get my leather wallet, get 14 coins of gold, and gave them to him. "Here, thank you."
The man received the payment and handed me the two rolls. "Come again."
"Yes, thank you and have a good day."
With my materials on hand, I left the shop and went through the crowded marketplace to go back to estate in the Outer District.
Third person POV
Later on, along the way, Russell bought 10 small wooden signs for 2 silver coins each and was going back to his estate outside of the city when suddenly, two adventurers spotted him walking with materials on hand. Those two adventurers are Leon Kayne and Sierra Taren, two of Russell's passengers that complimented his recently finished quest at Hadrianwood. Those two belonged to the Emerald Guild but were transferred to its Fort Right branch by their request. So, both of them went to him.
"Oh, it was you again!" Sierra said to Russell.
"Hi there!" Leon added happily.
Russell then saw them and said back, "Oh, hi there, you two must be from the Emerald Guild in Leafmight, right?"
"Yes, we were," Leon replied back.
"But we chose to transfer here in its Fort Right branch," Sierra added.
"Oh, really?" Russell asked back. "There is such branch here?"
"Yes," Leon replied.
"So, what you were doing here?" Sierra asked Russell.
"Oh, um…" Russell replied back, "…I am just buying some materials for my home in the Outer District."
"What? You have a home in that district now?" Sierra asked while she and Leon are surprised.
