Chapter 60 - Chapter 60 – The End for Bowtie Man

Third person POV

Later on, at the city's main barracks, the hooded figure was freed from being frozen and was being arrested for trying to hurt Russell and his group. Then, that person confessed his crimes, including the details of his 'client' and about him as well. The city guards were stunned, and Russell confirmed that it was the man who led a fraudulent business of selling cheap, green-liquid-gooey medicine. It seems that the bowtie man knew that someone was watching him and hired the hooded figure to assassinate that person according to his description of him.

That description matches Russell's.

Those guards understood and got that.

"Okay then," the captain of them responded back, "we'll search for that person and his accomplices."

"I know where they are," Russell boldly responded.

 "You do?"

Russell then nodded. "Yes."

And so, Russell, his group, and a squad of 5 city guards went to that alleyway in the back of the tenement building. There the captain of the squad knocked on the wooden door. "Open up, you're under arrest for fraud." The door was opened, and unluckily, it was the boss of the fraudster business who opened it. "Yes?"

"We're here to arrest you for fraud," one of the guards replied back while showing him a paper, which is a document of an arrest warrant.

The bowtie man was surprised with shock that he would be arrested and immediately slammed the door shut.

 "Hey!" Russell responded to this.

Another of the city guards then tried to break through.

As the door was being banged, the bowtie man opened a wooden chest and grabbed a lot of gold coins so he could escape the building and get away with it.

But, Rai broke through via a window and walked towards the man. "You're not getting away with this."

She then summoned ice magic in her right hand.

The bowtie man was taken aback and backed away with his sack of money. "Oh, no…"

The door broke through, and Russell and his group barged in, prompting the fraudster to run out of that room.

"Hey, come back here!" Adrian said as he and his group started to chase him.

Shortly thereafter, in the front of the tenement building, the bowtie's accomplices were just chilling in their horse wagon when their boss came out and said to them, "Guys, we're being caught!" His two accomplices were interrupted of their chilling time and looked at him.

 "What?"

 "How's that possible?"

"I had no idea," their boss replied back while panting for his breath, "but we had to get out of there."

Just as Russell and his group were going to catch them, the bowtie man and his two accomplices immediately hopped into their horse wagon, and the traveling salesman whipped the horses hard, causing the two, brown horses to make a loud neigh and leave the scene fast.

By the time Russell and his group came, that group of scammers was gone.

"Oh, man, they got away with it," Adrian commented in mild frustration.

Because of this, the captain of the guards said to his squad, "Get the horses! We'll chase them."

His squad did so and rushed back to the barracks to get their horses as fast as they could.

But then, Russell had an idea and looked at them seriously. "Guys, I have an idea."

He then sprinted towards the outskirts of the city and back to the old lady's house.

There the young bus driver opened his bus door using his ignition key and hopped in, before sitting in his driver's seat and buckling his seatbelt.

And then, he used the key to turn on the engine, shift his gear to Drive, and leave the area, and go towards the city.

Back there, at an intersection, Russell was driving when he saw the horse wagon of the fraudsters crossing it in full speed.

"Got you…" he uttered, before making a right turn towards their behind.

Russell will be chasing them with his bus.
