Third person POV
When their coffee time is over, the May party stood up, and Azalea carried John in her arms, before leaving the table behind and going to the counter to pay for Danica's service of turning their roasted coffee beans into filterable ones. The cost for the service was only 6 gold coins, and Russell paid it using his money. "Thank you," Danica responded back nicely as she received the payment, "did you enjoyed your coffee?"
"Yes, we did," Adrian replied positively, "it was very nice. Thank you."
"You're welcome, come again."
With that the May party left the café.
When they are now outside, they saw that it was now sundown. The time was 4:50 p.m. "Oh, it's now sunset," Russell commented.
"Time does pass quickly," John added in agreement.
So, Russell looked at his friends. "So, wanna continue going around before we could find an inn to stay for the night?"
His party then nodded in agreement, and all of them resumed their exploration of the town. Later on, they explored a lot, spending their time together. But then, at 5:14 p.m., as they are walking by, someone shouted, "Ah! It's the Silver Dragon!" Upon hearing that, the party got alerted and ran towards that person.
"What's wrong, sir?" Adrian asked that person.
Pointing his finger at the sky, the person responded, "It's her…she's coming again…"
In response, the May party looked at that direction, only to see a silver-colored dragon flying above the town.
It seems that she was angry at the town for some reason.
Then, the dragon, a big one, began to shoot flames from her mouth to some buildings in the area, causing panic amongst the townspeople.
As other people ran for their lives and took shelter from the rampaging dragon, the May party are now trying to figure out what to do at this tight situation.
"Uh…uh…" Russell tried to think straight, "…let's just take cover instead!"
And so, he and his party started running and taking cover from the attacking dragon.
They managed to do so inside a sturdy, brick building.
As the dragon growled and attacked outside, Russell and his party looked at other people inside the building, who were also panicking and were scared as well. "Um…what is going on here?" Russell asked them for any reason behind the silver dragon's attack on their town.
"We have no idea, kid," a man replied back, "that silver dragon…we know that she lives in the forest north of this town, but for some odd reason, she started to attack us and burn our homes down."
"We have to rebuild them every time," another person, a woman, added.
"Why is that?" Azalea asked back.
The woman shrugged. "We had no idea. We didn't do anything to provoke her."
And so, all of them waited inside the building until the silver dragon's rampage in town was over.
By that time, someone gave them the green light that it was safe for them to come out of their hiding place. Russell, his party, and the others did come out, but they were stunned to see such destruction the dragon had left on Kapeton. The streets were a mess. Some of wooden buildings and structures are burning or had already been burned to the ground, and some people had to put out the fire with water from different sources.
"Woah, what a destruction…" Russell commented as he and his party walked around the area.
"This happens every few days," the same man from last time responded.
"Is that so?"
The man nodded. "Yes."
Later on, Russell and the May party decided to help whatever they can to clean up the mess the dragon left behind, much to the townspeople's relief that someone from outside of town had decided to help them. They continued to do so until the evening.
By 6:11 p.m., after helping out, the May party checked into an inn near the field where Russell's bus was. They had two rooms that can fit two each. Russell and Adrian will have the first room while Azalea and John will have the second one. And as the two of them settled down in their room, Adrian said to Russell, "Hey, Russell-kun, thanks for everything. You had saved me from my former party and took me in."
"Yeah, no problem," Russell replied back as he smiled at him. "I'm happy to help you, my friend."
And then, Adrian lie down on the soft bed and looked at the ceiling. "Man, you're really that brutal when you're ramming your enemies, aren't you?"
"Oh, that?" Russell responded back while putting away his knapsack and grabbing his book. "Yeah, I had an ability known as Rampage."
"What's that?"
"Well, to put it simply, it's an ability that allows a user to go on a violent rampage with a huge, mechanized vehicle, like my bus."
"Woah, that sounds deadly!"
"Yeah, it is."
"What was its rank?"
"It's…an A-ranked one."
"Woah, that was quite high."
"Yup!"
But Russell has no idea about Adrian's ability and magic.
Adrian's current level is at Level 8, and at D rank, while Russell was already at Level 10 and at A rank.
All of them then took a bath at the inn's own bathhouse and ate a nice, filling dinner, before resting up for the night.
And also, what was the true reason behind the silver dragon's regular rampages on the coffee bean-producing town?
