The System's voice echoed in Gu Fanyu's mind again.
"Host, just a reminder: the System's original energy is down to only 6,000 points. That's barely enough for one more trip. Plus, we'll need more energy for other essential uses."
Gu Fanyu responded, "I understand, but I don't know how to steal a world's origin. How should I do it?"
"The world's origin is the very foundation of a world. To steal it, you must disrupt this world's destiny. In simpler terms, you need to destroy as much life as possible—through murder, carnage, destruction, anything that shakes the world's foundation."
Gu Fanyu began to understand. "So, you're saying that all living creatures—humans, animals, and plants—are part of this world's foundation?"
"Exactly, Host. Every living creature has its own origin. When they die, their origin returns to the earth, creating fluctuations. That's when the System can step in and steal some of that origin. The more you kill, the more origin you can gather."
Gu Fanyu thought deeply about what the System said.
"So, if I kill thousands of animals or burn down a large forest… won't that greatly disturb the world's foundation?"
"Yes, Host, but the System doesn't recommend that approach. The difference in origin between humans and non-intelligent life is too vast. If an ordinary human has 100 origin points, animals or trees might only have 1. It's not an efficient method."
"Plus," the System continued, "you have a limited time—only one year. After that, the World's Will could lock onto you, either suppressing or banishing you into the void."
Gu Fanyu nodded in understanding. "In that case, I have no choice but to be ruthless. I'll have to target humans."
He realized that even the mutated beasts didn't have the same level of intelligence as humans. According to this world's history, only tier-6 monsters were said to have their own minds.
There was no other way. If Gu Fanyu wanted to gather a massive amount of origin quickly, he had to kill humans—the main foundation of this world. Only then could the System steal the origin.
"It seems I'm destined to become a demon," Gu Fanyu thought grimly. "But I'll do what I must. All for my ultimate goal."

[Info: Mutated beasts refer to animals and plants that evolved into monsters. Due to Mana, the vast majority of them have extremely special abilities. Much like the superhumans, their power levels vary from individual to individual and thus their threat levels are categorized by a tier 1-6 ranking system. Although they generally appear to be mindless monsters. Tier-6 mutated beasts can be as intelligent as humans. The ranks are: 1,2,3,4,5,6, with tier-6 being the most powerful and tier-1 being the weakest]
