Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

2 Hours Later...

After getting the hang of his spatial powers, Gu Fanyu left the bedroom and headed to the study. He needed a plan—a plan to destroy this world!

He had two options.

The first option was to become so powerful that no one could stop him. If he could reach a level where he was invincible, he could slaughter millions, destroy nations, and take on the whole world by himself. But that was nearly impossible. To achieve that, he'd need to become at least a fourth-layer supernatural being, and he didn't have the time.

The second option was to work from the shadows. He could cause massive destruction worldwide without anyone knowing he was behind it. He had to stay hidden until he wiped out all the forces that could threaten him.

As he entered the study, Gu Fanyu spotted what he needed—a laptop. He wanted to browse the internet to gather detailed information on the world's powerful superhuman forces and any clues that could help him.

The information from Brian's memories was basic, just general knowledge that everyone knew. It wasn't enough.

Gu Fanyu sat down and turned on the laptop. For the next three hours, he searched the internet, reading everything he could find—history, organizations, guilds, prominent figures, technology, and more.

He discovered a few differences between this Earth and his own world, aside from the existence of superhumans.

Technology here was more advanced, with "black tech" powerful enough to let ordinary humans fight and even kill mutated beasts. The prominent figures, both past and present, looked different too. For example, in this world, Albert Einstein was a handsome man who always kept his hair neat. Though his legend was the same, his appearance and personality were different.

Gu Fanyu realized that all the people in this world were different from those in his world.

After finishing his research, Gu Fanyu felt a bit disappointed. What he found wasn't much different from what he already knew from Brian's memories. But he expected that classified information would be hidden by the authorities.

Holding his chin, Gu Fanyu started thinking about how to begin his plan. "Hmm, what should I do?" he muttered. "Should I reveal my strength to the world? The Mana in my body should put me at A-Class."

A-Rank superhumans were already top powerhouses in this world. Gu Fanyu's combat power could rival S-Rank superhumans, though defeating one in a direct fight would be tough. However, with his spatial power, he could escape any situation if needed.

He wasn't too concerned about the S-Ranks. There were only five in the entire world, each living in a different country. They wouldn't act unless something major happened.

S-Rank superhumans were unparalleled in power, with battle expertise and experience that placed them above the law. These five were known as the "pillars of the world," holding as much authority as a nation since their power could rival an entire military force.

There was also a mysterious difference in their combat abilities, making it hard to say who was the strongest among them. The S-Rank was reserved for those whose power couldn't be measured by any device.

Suddenly, an idea flashed in Gu Fanyu's mind, and his eyes lit up. "Hehehe, looks like I found a way... but I'm not sure if the System can provide it," he thought.

"System, do you have what I need?" Gu Fanyu asked.

"Of course, but it's expensive," the System replied.

"How many origin points do I need?"

"20,000 origin points."

"So I'm short by 14,000," Gu Fanyu muttered, pondering how to get the remaining points without alerting anyone.

"System, if I chose to slaughter mutated beasts, how many would I need to kill?"

"Around 10,000."

"And if I targeted humans?"

"1,000 people should be enough."

"I see," Gu Fanyu replied calmly.

Realizing that killing 1,000 people would give him the points he needed, Gu Fanyu made up his mind. With his current strength, he could kill 1,000 people in one go. On the other hand, killing 10,000 monsters would take days and would definitely attract attention. Mutated beasts were the most valuable resources in this world, and if 10,000 of them died, it would spark an investigation.

In a world filled with supernatural powers, advanced weapons, and monsters, things were both colorful and dangerous.

If 1,000 people suddenly died, it wouldn't cause mass panic or government alerts. And even if Gu Fanyu's actions were exposed, he wasn't worried. He had awakened his own special ability, and now that he was a supernatural being, he was confident he could survive in this world.
