Chapter 53 - Chapter 8:Kiri Hunter Nin!

As Zabuza formed a hand sign with his free hand, eight water clones emerged from the surrounding puddles. The clones moved fluidly, their expressions just as menacing as Zabuza's. Kakashi remained trapped in the water prison, glaring at the clones with his Sharingan.

Yuto glanced at his teammates, then at Tazuna. He knew that the water clones only have 10 percent of the power of their creator, so he knew what to do.

"I'll handle this. Protect Tazuna!" Yuto ordered as he dashed forward.

Naruko's face twisted with concern. "Wait, Yuto! You don't have to take them all alone!"

Hitomi took out a kunai, frowning. "You idiot, we can fight too!"

But Yuto had already closed the gap. He needed all the fighting experience he can get in this mission. He pulled out a set of kunai and, with a quick motion, channeled his chakra into them, marking them with his chakra anchor ability.

'This technique will be crucial if I want to manage all eight,' Yuto thought, his Kamigan glowing faintly. He flung the marked kunai at the clones, who reacted immediately, dodging the projectiles with quick, fluid movements. But as soon as they evaded, Yuto activated his technique.

In an instant, he swapped places with the first kunai. Appearing behind a clone, Yuto slammed a Poison Ball onto it. The clone erupted into a burst of water, sizzling as the poison corrupted its remains. Without wasting a moment, Yuto switched places with another kunai, which had landed behind two clones. He delivered a powerful double kick, solar energy exploding from his legs on impact, obliterating both targets.

Kakashi's eyes widened inside the water prison. 'This ability… it's almost like Sensei's Flying Thunder God Jutsu! But how is a kid his age capable of such precision?'

Even Zabuza's expression flickered with surprise, though he quickly masked it with a smirk. "Interesting. So you're not just a show-off after all," he muttered.

The remaining five clones circled Yuto cautiously now, having learned from the swift defeat of their counterparts as they stayed away from the kunais. Yuto took a deep breath, sensing the tension.

One clone feinted toward him, while another tried to flank. Yuto smirked, slamming his hands onto the ground.

"Solar Burst!" he shouted.

A surge of solar energy erupted from him in a circular wave. The clones had no chance to escape as the radiant energy tore through them, leaving sizzling puddles of water in their wake. The battlefield went silent for a moment, the air charged with Yuto's residual energy.

Naruko blinked, her jaw slightly agape. "Wha… what the heck was that, Yuto?! You were awesome!"

Hitomi huffed, though a smirk played on her lips. "Show-off."

Yuto turned his gaze toward Zabuza, his Kamigan glowing faintly as he assessed the situation. Subtly, he made a single hand signal behind his back, a move only Hitomi and Naruko could see. Both girls exchanged a glance and nodded, instantly understanding Yuto's plan.

'I hope this works, like it did in the Anime.' Yuto thought. He was about to move when Zabuza's cold voice cut through the mist.

"Don't even think about it, brat," Zabuza growled, his grip on the water prison tightening. "Take another step, and I'll crush your sensei like a bug."

Inside the sphere, Kakashi winced as the pressure increased.

Yuto smirked, his expression unbothered. "Who said I'm the one saving Kakashi?" Before Zabuza could respond, Hitomi leapt into the air, a large demon wind shuriken in her hands. "We're the one's who are saving him!" she yelled, throwing the massive weapon directly at Zabuza. The shuriken spun rapidly, cutting through the air with a loud whistle.

Zabuza narrowed his eyes, smirking. "Foolish!" He reached out with his free hand and caught the shuriken mid-air, halting its deadly trajectory. "Is this all you've got?"

But then his smirk faded as the "shuriken" exploded into a puff of smoke. Emerging from the illusion was Naruko, who had transformed into the weapon.

"What?!" Zabuza exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock.

Naruko grinned. "Gotcha!" She channeled her chakra into her leg and delivered a powerful, chakra-boosted kick to Zabuza's chest. The impact sent him skidding back, his grip on the water prison breaking.

The water prison burst apart, and Kakashi fell to the ground, coughing and gasping for air. He looked up at Naruko, his eyes filled with pride. "Well done… Naruko," he managed, pushing himself to his feet.

Yuto stepped forward, standing beside his team as Zabuza regained his footing, clutching his chest. "Looks like the tables have turned," Yuto said, his voice mocking as he gave zabuza a smirk.

Zabuza's expression darkened, his hand tightening on the hilt of his massive blade. "You little brats… you've got guts. But don't think this is over."

As Zabuza prepared to retaliate, the sound of something cutting through the air pierced the tense atmosphere. Two senbon needles flew from the mist, embedding themselves in Zabuza's neck. His body stiffened instantly, and he collapsed to the ground, motionless.

A masked figure stepped out of the mist, their appearance calm and composed. They held more senbon in their hand, their mask adorned with the symbol of the Village Hidden in the Mist.

Kakashi's weary eyes focused on the newcomer. "A Kiri Hunter-nin," he muttered under his breath, recognizing the mask's design. His voice held a mixture of relief and wariness.

The masked individual bowed slightly. "You are correct. My mission was to eliminate Zabuza Momochi, as he possesses too many secrets of our village. Thank you for keeping him occupied."

Naruko and Hitomi glanced between Zabuza's still body and the masked ninja, their expressions skeptical. "Is he really dead?" Naruko asked, her voice tinged with suspicion.

Kakashi took a few steps toward Zabuza's body and crouched down, his hand reaching for the neck. He pressed his fingers against the pulse point and waited. After a moment, he nodded. "No pulse. He's gone."

The masked ninja nodded respectfully. "I will take the body back to the Mist Village to ensure it is properly disposed of. Please excuse me."

Without another word, the masked ninja picked up Zabuza's limp body and vanished into the mist. Yuto watched the entire scene with narrowed eyes, his mind racing. 'Haku… so it is him. Or, well, her? Either way, I still don't believe haku is a boy. This is the same scene from the anime, and that means Zabuza's not actually dead. Haku… they're just putting him in a death-like state like in the anime.'

As Kakashi turned back to his students, his legs gave out, and he collapsed. "Naruko," he called out weakly, "catch me."

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruko shouted, rushing forward to grab him before he hit the ground. Hitomi joined her, panic evident on her face. "What's wrong with him?" she asked, looking over at Yuto.

"He used up too much chakra," Yuto explained, his voice calm despite the situation. "The Sharingan drains a lot of energy, especially when used against someone like Zabuza."

Naruko frowned, cradling Kakashi's weight with Hitomi's help. "We need to get him somewhere safe. He's completely out of it!" Tazuna spoke this time, "My house is close now, we should take him there." "Right," Hitomi agreed, her concern etched across her face. "Let's move."

As the girls worked together to support Kakashi, Yuto kept his gaze on the mist where the masked ninja had disappeared. 'Haku… you're not just Zabuza's tool. You deserve more than that. I'll make sure you get a chance to see that.' With that thought yuto helped his teammates to take Kakashi towards Tazuna's home.
