Team 7 had settled into Tazuna's modest home, a small yet cozy house situated near the construction site of the bridge. Despite its worn appearance, the warmth of its inhabitants made it feel welcoming. Tazuna's daughter, Tsunami, greeted them at the door with a grateful smile.
"Thank you for protecting my father," Tsunami said sincerely, bowing to the group. Her soft tone and kind demeanor immediately put them at ease.
"It's no problem!" Naruko grinned, puffing her chest. "It's what heroes do!"
Hitomi rolled her eyes at Naruko's dramatic declaration but smirked nonetheless. "We're just doing our job."
Yuto stood back, observing the interaction with quiet amusement. 'Tsunami seems like a kind person, just like in the anime. At least someone in this family appreciates us.'
Their attention was soon drawn to a boy standing at the edge of the room. His face was a mixture of disdain and apathy as he sneered at the group.
"Tch, you think you can actually help us? You're just going to get yourselves killed like everyone else who tried to stand up to Gato," the boy said coldly before turning and storming off.
"Ah… That's my son, Inari," Tsunami said, her smile faltering. "He's… been through a lot. Please don't take his words to heart."
Naruko scowled, balling her fists. "What's his problem? We're risking our lives to help you!"
Yuto placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her from chasing after the boy. "Let it go, Naruko. He doesn't know us yet. We should first put Kakashi Sensei down to let him rest."
Tsunami nodded quickly. "Of course. Follow me; I've prepared rooms for all of you."
She guided them to their quarters. Kakashi was placed in the guest room, where Yuto chose to stay with him, insisting on keeping an eye on his sensei's recovery. Naruko and Hitomi shared a smaller room down the hall.
As Kakashi lay in bed, his breathing steady but his face pale, Yuto sat on a nearby chair, arms crossed as he observed his teacher. The house was silent except for the soft creak of wood and the occasional murmur of the girls chatting in their room.
'I can't believe how strong Zabuza was,' Yuto thought, his gaze fixed on Kakashi's sleeping form. 'If this is just the start, the challenges ahead are going to be insane.'
Deciding to use the quiet moment, Yuto opened his system interface, navigating to the mission screen. He looked at the 4 mission's that had appeared recently before the wave mission started.
[Mission: Feel the Pain of D Rank Missions]
Complete 100 D Rank missions.
Reward: 5 stat points to all stats, 5 additional stat points.]
[Mission: Wave Mission]
Complete the Wave mission.

[Mission: Water Walking]

Reward:5 stat points to all the stats,15 stat points to chakra control,5 additional stat points.]
Yuto leaned back slightly, his eyes flickering with thought as he reviewed the context of his missions.
The D-rank mission appeared due to the repetitive tasks Team 7 had been given, now totaling 27 completed. The Wave mission popped up when the Third Hokage assigned them the C-rank escort. The Money Heist mission arose after Tazuna explained Gato's tyranny. Finally, the Water Walking mission appeared when Yuto began practicing water walking at the training grounds.
Yuto's brow furrowed slightly at the rewards. 'Only 1 Mystery Box? Chakra control Stat boosts? This feels different.' He immediately inquired about the mechanics through the system.
The response clarified things:
1. Scaling Rewards: Earlier, during "Easy Mission Mode" pre-Genin rank, rewards were more focused on items and boxes. Now, with his strength approaching peak Chunin level (excluding Kamigan), rewards are directly tied to effort and importance.
2. The Wave Mission included a Mystery Box as it marked a critical story arc from the anime's first season.
3. Stat-specific missions like Water Walking were tailored for incremental growth, granting him up to 15 points in chakra control because of its skill-focused nature.
'So the stakes are rising... and so are the rewards,' he mused. "Looks like I'm officially past the tutorial."
Yuto's mind raced as he formulated a plan to complete the Money Heist mission. From his knowledge of the anime, he knew that Kakashi-sensei would realize Zabuza wasn't truly dead once he regained consciousness. That realization would trigger a week-long period where Kakashi would focus on recovering and training Team 7 for the inevitable rematch against Zabuza and Haku at the bridge.
During this time, Yuto planned his heist in two phases:
1. Stealing Gato's wealth: He would locate and infiltrate Gato's base to secure all the money.
2. Eliminating Gato's hired men: On the day of the bridge confrontation, he would deal with the mercenaries hired to double-cross Zabuza and Haku.
'This week will be intense,' he thought, determination lighting up his eyes. "I'll need to prepare carefully. If I pull this off, it'll be my first major solo mission."
At Zabuza's hideout, Haku tended to Zabuza, who had just woken up. Despite his injuries, Zabuza quickly laid out their strategy. "We'll rest for a week till I recover," he said with a grim determination. "When the time comes, I'll take care of Kakashi, but that boy in their team-he's dangerous. Haku, you'll handle him."
Haku nodded, their expression calm but focused.
Zabuza continued, "After Kakashi and the boy are out of the way, we'll eliminate the girls and then take out Tazuna. No loose ends. We will then move towards Kiri to raise the funds of the rebels." Zabuza had a determined look when he mentioned the rebels.
