Chapter 5 - what is your name

Abbey finds himself in an extraordinary and mysterious situation where a strange lady has given him a kiss that awakens him from a lifeless state. However, this kiss is not just a romantic gesture; it seems to hold a deeper, transformative power. An energy surge courses through Abbey's body, pulling him back from a dreamlike realm to stark reality. As Abbey grapples with this transformative experience, questions flood his mind about the identity and abilities of this enigmatic lady. His observation turns into a poignant realization as he senses his own existence beginning to fade away gradually. Despite his inherent power, Abbey finds himself helplessly succumbing to the unfolding events, unable to resist the force that seems to be overtaking him. The mystery deepens as Abbey ponders the intentions and capabilities of the mysterious woman.

When Abbey opened his eyes, he was back in his own body again. There was a burning sensation now, as his libido continued to rise. He felt her lips still intertwined with his, and also another strange energy flowing through his body. He thought, "What has she done to me? What kind of power does she have?" These were the thoughts in his head.

After a brief pause, Abbey cleared his throat and groaned, hoping she could hear him. She did a double take, lifting her head up to meet his gaze. Abbey was stunned by her beauty. He quickly composed himself and asked, "Who are you?" When she didn't reply, he asked again, "What do you want with me?" Instead of answering, she took out a small knife and aimed it at Abbey. Shock registered on Abbey's face. He couldn't understand why she was trying to hurt or kill him.

Rather than attacking Abbey, she took a different approach. She used the knife to cut the rope that Abbey was bound with, freeing him from his restraints. Abbey was shocked and speechless as he looked on in confusion. He couldn't understand why she was helping him. Her voice snapped him out of his daze as she asked him if he could walk. Abbey wasn't sure, but she helped him up and they made their way out of the dangerous situation.

As they left the building, Abbey watched in amazement as chaos erupted around them. They quickly got into a car and drove away to safety. Abbey couldn't help but wonder why this stranger had risked her own safety to save him. Now that they were out of danger, he finally mustered the courage to ask her why she had helped him.

But she remained silent, focused on the road ahead. Abbey tried again, asking for her name, but still she didn't respond. Frustrated, he decided not to push the matter any further. He told her that he wouldn't ask again and she could keep her secrets. But this seemed to only make her more distant.

Abbey resigned himself to the fact that he may never know her name or why she had helped him. He didn't want to owe her anything and he didn't want to see her again. He made this clear to her as she dropped him off at his destination.

But as they parted ways, she finally spoke up, explaining that she had saved him because the building was about to explode. She didn't want any connections or favors from him, and she didn't want to see him again. Abbey couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards this mysterious woman, but he understood her need for anonymity. He watched as she drove away, grateful for her help and relieved to be safe.

Abbey, with an icy demeanor, spoke in response to your desire to clear your conscience by saving me. But that doesn't excuse the fact that you work at the same place that held me hostage for a period of time. The only reason I haven't taken any action against you is because I am curious about why you saved me. So, my interest in your motives shouldn't be seen as a big deal; it's just a professional courtesy. However, from what you're saying, it seems like you don't even deserve that.

Finally, the mysterious lady decided to relax and speak again. She apologized for being so blunt, explaining that she was nervous and had never done anything like this before. She was scared, which is why she didn't want to reveal her name. She had initially thought that you were working with or for the company. But when she realized that you weren't, she saw you as an ally instead of an enemy. When Abbey asked if she had broken into the building, the lady replied without hesitation that she had indeed done so. Abbey couldn't help but notice her jumpy and edgy behavior.

Trying to maintain an impassive tone, Abbey inquired if the lady was some kind of eco-friendly agent. The reply was immediate, confirming that she was, in fact, something like that. She explained that they believed the company was conducting illegal experiments, ones that had been outlawed by the country. Abbey couldn't help but laugh at the situation, and her expression became calmer as she said, "So, you're an eco-friendly and animal rights activist. And you risked your life by sneaking into the building to gather evidence. Did I get that right?" The lady nodded in confirmation, her gaze fixed on Abbey as they drove.

But still, Abbey was not convinced. There is something she is hiding. There is more to this lady than meets the eye, especially with that strange energy around her. And why can't I project myself into her mind? If I didn't know better, I would think she knows about my abilities and is intentionally blocking me out. Abbey thought to himself.

He pretended to be weak by falling asleep. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a beautiful apartment building. The smell of jasmine perfume filled the air. This must be her home, he thought with a grim smile.

Before long, the mysterious lady brought a cup of tea and offered it to Abbey, saying, "Drink this, it will make you feel better." Without hesitation, Abbey drank the tea. Soon, he felt a strange sensation vibrating in his stomach and asked, "What's in this tea?"

"Just a concoction to help you regain your energy," she casually replied without bothering to look at Abbey.

Confused, Abbey asked, "Where am I?"

"Oh, welcome to my home," she replied as if she had forgotten to mention it earlier.

So this is where you live, Abbey pondered. "Your home is very beautiful," he remarked.

"You need to rest now, it's getting late. We will talk more tomorrow," she said while giving Abbey some blankets and pillows to sleep on the sofa.

Grateful, Abbey asked, "You've helped me so much, and I don't even know your name." However, before she could answer, her phone began to ring. "Excuse me, I have to take this call," she replied, leaving Abbey alone in the room.

Abbey's demeanor became grim, as he said to himself, "Don't worry, I will mess with your head in your dreams." Meanwhile, after receiving the call, the mysterious lady came back into the room and said, "I have to leave now. Something came up and I have to report on this issue. Will you be coming back soon?" Abbey asked. "I don't know, you may already be asleep when I get back," she replied. "Can I come with you then?" asked Abbey. She was surprised by Abbey's question and did a double take before replying, "You don't have to bother yourself with trivial matters. Just get some rest and we will discuss everything tomorrow."

Not long after she was gone, Abbey was all alone in her apartment. Unable to sleep, he kept looking around. He was trying to gather more information about this mysterious lady. "There is something strange about her apartment," Abbey thought to himself. "The room is void of life, as if she had just moved in. Where are her personal belongings? Where are her pictures? There is something fundamentally wrong here," he pondered aloud.

About three hours later, the door was gently opened and Abbey could hear the noise. "Who could that be?" he wondered. After a brief pause, a figure appeared from behind the door. At first glance, Abbey was not sure who it was. The figure was wearing all black clothes. As Abbey watched, unsure if this person was male or female, another figure appeared behind the first person, also wearing black clothes. His mind was in disarray now. He was not sure why this group of people was here. "Were they here for me or for her?" he thought. Suddenly, they looked in Abbey's direction.

As Abbey caught sight of the two individuals gazing his way, he quickly crouched and concealed himself behind the couch. With the lighting in the room being low, he cautiously crawled over to a nearby column and took cover once more.
