"So, why are you here? For work?" Derek asked and Liam grinned.
"I came by to share some good news," he said and Derek's curiosity was piqued.
"Oh? What's up? What's the news?" he asked and Liam's smile widened even more.
"My mother," Liam began, his smile extending to the corners of his face. "She's given her approval for Fiona and me," he announced and Derek's eyes widened with genuine happiness.
"Seriously? That's fantastic news, man! I'm so happy for you. Now we can finally feel at ease," Derek said and Liam nodded, feeling the weight of his mother's disapproval lift off his shoulders.
"It sure is a huge relief," Liam said and Derek stood up, a glint of excitement in his eyes.
"Yeah. And I think we should celebrate to that. It's really worth celebrating. How about we go grab a beer after work?" he asked and Liam grinned.
"That sounds perfect. It's been a while since we just hung out," he said and Derek nodded.
