"Also, judging by the time you were bitten, you only have 2 hours left to take the serum. The more you delay, the much fewer chances you will have to become a resurrected," Raj continued in a firm voice, as if he was ordering his best friend.
Raj continued as neither Anju nor Viren had something. "Remember, you will not instantly become a resurrected, but you will...." (Don't drop Spoliers Raj.)

"Generator room is this way." Kiaan used his left hand to gesture towards the right side. Sam hadn't even looked, but she started walking in that direction.
"Why is he ignoring me?" Kiaan said as he scanned Sam from top to bottom while walking behind her."
Due to Sam's body frame and her wearing the leather jacket, her bulge around the chest was not so visible, giving people the illusion that she was a boy.
"Look, boy, you should be respectful towards your elders, even if you are some big shot to stand beside the General," Kiaan said as he caught up to Sam and was now walking beside her.
"Is he thinking I am a guy?" Sam thought, annoyed at this.
"I only respect those who are worth being respected," Sam said with a disguised heavy voice, hoping that Kiaan would not realize she was a girl.
"That voice sounds so... fake," Kiaan thought as he slowed his pace down a little. With heavy breaths and falling behind Sam, Kiaan called out, "Hey... Slow down a... little, please."
Sam completely ignored Kiaan as she took a left from the basketball court, towards the generators.
After taking the left, they reached the entrance of the Boys' hostel, and the generator was at another left between the hostel building and the boundary wall of the entire campus. But from that area, they both were able to hear slight groans.
Knowing whom these groans belonged to, Kiaan's eyes immediately widened. "I thought we killed every one of them, so what is this?" Kiaan wondered. At the same time, Sam was confidently moving towards the generator, not even hearing the groans of zombies.
"Is she planning on killing herself?" Kiaan said as he tried to grab the black-dressed boy's hand to warn him. But as Kiaan's hand touched Sam's forearm, she jolted it and gave a stern look to Kiaan, with her finger pointing at her lips in order to shush him.
"He knows," Kiaan thought with relaxation. "But is this kid planning on taking the zombies out with his bare hands?" Kiaan continued his overthinking as he followed the teenager.
After taking another left, both Kiaan and Sam were in an alleyway, and they could see two students wearing orange uniforms with blood dripping from their clothes, casually banging on the front of the generator's room. Their hands were dangling by their sides until they saw both.

Each time these infected students banged their heads on the door, a slight thud was heard, and following that, they growled, thinking the noise was coming from the other side of the door.
It was a funny sight, but Sam just shook her head in disappointment. After letting out a sigh, she hand gestured to Kiaan, saying, "I will kill them, you stay here." At this action, Kiaan just made a face and whispered, "What?" He didn't understand her gestures, to which Sam just slapped her hand and whispered back, "Stay here," in her usual fake voice.
"Is that kid really thinking that he is strong enough to take them out?" Kiaan thought as he looked around for some kind of rod or stick lying around. "Well, I should be prepared to act when he fails."
Kiaan didn't have any faith in this leather-clad teen, and no one could blame him. Sam's height practically made her look like a teenager.
Sam just casually started walking towards the door, whistling as if she was walking in a park.
"Crazy kid," Kiaan almost shouted out while pulling his hair, but he didn't, fearing that even if the zombies didn't hear Sam's whistle, they would definitely hear him.
However, the zombies heard Sam's whistling and turned around to see what was causing the sound. Both zombies were boys, and one of them's stomach was eaten up, with his intestines dangling out and dried blood covering the area.
(I promise you guys, we all would have thrown up at this sight. But it's a novel sooo.....)
The other one was looking fine, but he too had blood stains around his neck and his trousers were missing an area as if they were chewed up, but his foot was healed, and there was no bite mark.
It was clear to Sam, he was A Newbie Resurrected.
After laying their eyes on Sam, the intestine zombie just stretched out his arms and moved towards Sam, but the other one let out a loud roar, which shook Kiaan's spine, again.
The roar was so loud that it was heard throughout the campus.
The moment the roar came out of the no-bite zombie, the intestine zombie also let out a similar roar, "The duck is their problem." Kiaan mumbled under his breath as he was tilting his head from the corner of the wall. He was clearly scared of this sight.
"Ahh.... shit, I cannot do anything, I need to prioritize the secrets." Sam said as she ran with her hands wide open, "Sorry Kid," She slightly whispered as she bashed both the zombies' heads against the door, instantly killing them.

Raj continued as neither Anju nor Viren had something to say. "Remember, you will not instantly become a resurrected, but you will turn into something like a newbie zombie."
Both Anju and Viren looked at Raj confused and were about to say something, but were cut off by Raj. "Please, don't... your questions are annoying," he said in a slight tone, to which both of them just suppressed their urges to ask.
After seeing both wardens stay silent, Raj resumed his explanation. "A newbie resurrected is someone who has been bitten but needs to eat a certain amount of flesh to heal his wounds. Until then, he would be acting like an Alpha zombie. Think of it as an Alpha wolf; he would be the leader of the pack around him."
