At the volleyball court, the slaughter of infecteds continued. Viren now knew how to kill these infecteds for good, and he didn't hesitate for a bit before shooting them. "Either I kill them, or they'll kill my kids," this thought kept him unfazed while shooting the humans.
"One," he counted as he shot a zombie, "two, three." Viren took down all the zombies who were close to him.
But he had no time to rest.
Kiaan was now back as a target for these zombies. "Ahh.... crap, I shouldn't have yelled," he muttered as he saw four zombies heading towards him.
Earlier, the suggestion to shoot the zombies in the head had grabbed the attention of not just Viren but a few zombies as well.
But then Kiaan thought, "Drawing the attention of some of them is not that bad. I can handle them."
Everything was fine; nothing was that serious. A few zombies were heading towards Kiaan, and more than a few were heading towards Viren. They both were capable of handling the situation fairly well.
.
.
Narrator Asks "But wouldn't it be boring if they handled the situation this easily? After all, this is not a fairytale that guarantees a happy and satisfying ending."

Now there were students approaching from the football field. The thumping sound of footsteps was loud, and if you think that would not attract the attention of zombies, there were those kids who were scared and panicked, crying and shouting "MOVE FASTER! MOVE FASTER!" to the ones in front of them.
And I know what you readers are thinking: "It's normal, those kids are just panicked due to the situation."
It was normal until one of the boys, who didn't believe that these were zombies and thought all this was some sort of prank or a drill, walked out of line, bravely stood in front of one of the zombies, and teased him, "Hey you, luck sucker, I am not scared of you."
But the moment he and other kids who believed that this was a fake saw the surroundings: kids dead, chewed off, a pool of blood all over the volleyball court, red eyes of the "ACTORS," and Kiaan and Viren killing the zombie.
All of them were out of words, or maybe they had words but they managed to shout only one thing in unison, and of course, at the same time: "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! RUNNNNN!!! RUNNNNN!!!"
And these actions of over-smartness had drawn the attention of the zombies who were a little afar from Viren.
.....
"Are you kidding me?" Viren mumbled as he saw what these kids had just done.
Viren assessed the situation:
1)Kids coming from there, seven infected looking their way.
2)Four towards Kiaan and three are still after me.
3)Kiaan can handle them, I have to dodge these three and engage the ones heading towards the kids.
4)Worst part, I only have one bullet left, and Anju is still not here.
....
"Kiaan, keep that sword close!" Viren made a desperate plea as he leaped to protect the students.
With a muttered prayer, "Oh Mahadev, protect us," he fired the remaining bullet, killing the closest infected.
Ignoring the remaining two infected, he leaped a little to the left, out of the reach of the infected, and dashed towards the group of seven infected who were heading towards the group of screaming and crying kids.
The gunshot had managed to get the attention of two more zombies, and now their target was changed from children to Viren.
.....
Kiaan grunted as he struggled to pull the blade out from the dead zombie's skull.
His sister, Jerry, stood nearby, tears streaming down her face, fear freezing her body, rendering her unable to speak or think.
It was her first time seeing people die around her, and she was an emotional kid to begin with.
Kiaan could bear anything, but tears in Jerry's eyes were something he never liked. He wanted his sister to have a happy and cheerful life. Since their childhood, no matter who made Jerry cry — a student, some random senior, or even teachers in her classroom — Kiaan would surely make them pay in a very painful way.
And just like those times, Kiaan was feeling angry now. He used all his anger and with a shout "AHHHHH!!!", he yanked the sword free.
Using the momentum of the sword, Kiaan swung it towards one of the two zombies approaching from his left.
The moment was so great that not just one, but both of the zombies' heads cleanly fell with a splash of blood coming out of their severed necks.
Kiaan then lunged at another zombie, aiming for its eye. The sword sank deep into the zombie's head, pinning it in place.
But this time, the blade went too far, emerging from the other side of the infected's head, and it was stuck. Again.
...
Viren, dodged two initial infected with ease. But now two more were heading towards him due to the gunshot.
With a inhaling a lrage amount of air, he launched himself forward and spun 360 degrees to deliver a power kick to one zombie's head.
The force sent it crashing to the ground. Viren thought "That won't be enough." as he stomped on the head of the zombie. The impact was so powerful that it cracked open the zombie's skull like a dry clay pot.
Another infected was coming towards Viren with his arms strecthing outward to grab him. But, Viren was the one who grabbed the arms of infected, and lifted it with one hand putting on it's chest, and tossed the undead towards the two initial zombies behind him. They stumbled and fell, momentarily distracted from Viren.
He caught a glimpse of Kiaan wrestling with the stuck sword in one of the zombies eye and another snarling infected approaching him. "Kiaan!" Viren roared, worried for his student "Look right—"
But Kiaan calmly, yelled back, "I got it, sir! I am always aware!" as he yanked the zombie towards the upcoming one, using the sword as a sort of handle, and shoved them both into a half-eaten, unconscious girl (most probably dead due to blood loss).
The final zombie tripped, stumbling over the fallen body.
Kiaan, leaving the sword behind, rushed towards the zombie and stomped on the fallen zombie's head with all his might.
It wasn't enough. As the zombie tried to get up with a groan, "Ahhh.... crap" Kiaan muttered as he stopmed its head two time more, until the skull finally bursted and blood with brain flesh flew all around.
Kiaan's stomach lurched at the sight of the half-eaten girl, her intestine was spilling out a hole from her body dangling like some kind of red schezwan noddle.
At this sight he just looked away, hoping to not register this site, but where ever he looked the scenire was similar with slight differentiality.
Injured and unconscious students were scattered across the ground, some lucky ones had thier feets, arms or backs chewd off, but some poor kids had thier entire vocal cord missing and blood staining their clothes.
Kiaan was about to throw up his breakfast, before he had a horrifing thought in his mind.
"Well, if they really are like zombies... will these kids get up and attack us?" He wondered, in horror. But then the horror was taken over by the worry, "Either way I have to get Jerry inside. I am not losing another sister."
