Chapter 50 - Naruto VS Konan [Edited]

As I made my way towards the tall tower, I found myself walking through a quiet alley where no one else was around. The narrow path seemed endless as I moved forward, keeping my eyes on the towering structure ahead. Feeling the presence of a familiar chakra nearby, I decided to teleport myself closer to it.

Just as I reappeared, a voice called out from behind me, "Where are you going?" Instinctively, I teleported again, sensing the energy of an approaching attack , as a flurry of paper attacks landed at the place I was standing previously

"Are you one of Pervy Sage's students?" I questioned the person I now faced, quickly correcting myself, "I mean, Jiraiya-sensei, are you one of his students?"

Hearing me mention Jiraiya-sensei, she paused and said, "Jiraiya-sensei? So you're..."

"Yes," I replied, slowly pulling back the hood that covered my face, revealing my identity. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki."

"I see..." she replied, taking a moment to study me closely. "So, why are you here? Are you seeking revenge for his death?" she inquired, her tone serious.

"Revenge? Well, yes, maybe. If that's how you want to see it," I said, trying to clarify my thoughts. "But what I really want to know is how someone who was trained by Jiraiya-sensei ended up like you all."

She glanced down, a smile creeping onto her face. "You're talking just like your master now," she said, a hint of admiration in her voice, "Jiraiya-sensei, He was indeed an kind person," She said

"And then you killed him because he was kind?" I questioned

"It's not that simple," she replied sharply, her voice filled with a mix of emotions. "There are many factors at play... But trying to explain it to you would be pointless!" With that, she unleashed another wave of paper shurikens in my direction.

The shurikens halted mid-air, just inches from me, without causing any harm. I noticed her expression shift to one of shock as she watched the scene unfold.

"Are you made of paper or something?" I asked, stepping in front of the floating shurikens. As I walked pass the shurikens, they began to fall to the ground, landing harmlessly around me.

Her eyes remained wide with disbelief as she took a step back, taking a moment to process what had just happened in front of her.

"Well, is that all you've got? If that's it, then I should probably—" I started to say, but she cut me off.

"Don't be arrogant," she warned, stepping back. Her expression shifted back to one of sharp intensity as she moved her hands, summoning another flurry of paper. This time, it wasn't just a simple attack. The papers swirled around me, encasing me from every side before suddenly erupting in a massive explosion.

"Even though you're a student of Jiraiya-sensei, you're nowhere near his level," she said, her voice laced with disdain as she turned away, preparing to leave.

"Are you leaving already?" I asked, standing next to her. Her expression shifted dramatically to one of shock and fear.

"I didn't even catch your name yet," I continued, but before either of us could react, a massive centipede burst onto the scene, charging straight toward me. Instinctively, I teleported a safe distance away from the creature, looking up to see a woman dressed in the familiar Akatsuki cloak. His eyes matched the description the toad sage had given me—those unmistakable Rinnegan eyes.

"Konan, back up. I'll take over from here," She commanded, and she nodded, stepping aside.

"Well, it's Konan then!" I said with a smile, feeling a sense of relief to finally know her name. As I turned my attention back to the giant centipede, which had come to a sudden halt before me, I took a deep breath, focusing my energy.

"Limitless Curse Technique - Blue!" I whispered, channeling my power. In an instant, the immense force of my technique surged forward, and the giant centipede was crushed, obliterated in a matter of seconds. The ground trembled as the creature was reduced to mere fragments, leaving nothing but silence in its wake.

I straightened up and faced Pain, a confident grin on my face. "So, you're Pain, huh? I've heard about you, but you know what? You don't seem that special, I think I've wasted my time, or will you bring the other five of your... Companions?"
