Chapter 40 - The Prescription

A man in a green spring coat with sunglasses came inside the pharmacy. He wore sunglasses and walked to the counter. The woman there, short, chubby with a ginger ponytail, looked at him.The man had a face full of pain and worry. It took him a while before he mustered the courage to speak."I...oh god," he struggled not to cry.

He looked down and placed his hand on his throat. "The words are chockening." He swalloed hard. The pain inside him made it difficult to stand."I really need this to save myself. God, it's useless." He took off the sunglasses and strugled not to cry."I really need it desperately."

The woman understod his pain She said nothing for the longest time, letting the man take his time. Finally, she said, "it's ok, sir. I know it must be so awful for you. Many people deal with it."

He struggled to swallow."You know...what I need?"

"Of course I know its hard for you. I can't imagine what you're dealing with, but there is no other choice. You can say it freely, sir. I don't judge," he looked down, then up at the wall behind her, he placed his index and middle fingers on his lips."Give me a pack of condoms."

"You...bastard.I thought you had cancer!"

"W-I never impiled that."

"And you got scared over a bunch of condoms?"

"Well, isn't it embarrassing?"

"Do you know how many people asked for condoms today?"

"How many?"

"Just you," she laughed.
