3 HOURS EARLIER
"take it down or be taken out," Seraiya said as she glared at Kyra. "you know I'm not going to do that," Kyra told her as she stared down at Seraiya. "if you don't let me go everyone will die, your friends your pack even your children they will all die," Seraiya told Kyra. "and if you go you'll die," Kyra told her. "what are you saying? I'm more important than you people, your family?" Seraiya asked.
"I'm begging you Kyra take down the barrier" Seraiya pleaded. "no," Kyra told her. Seraiya's eyes gave off a golden glow "Fine," said Seraiya "I'll just have to force you to take it down then" Seraiya said as her hands formed into a fist. "you seem to underestimate my power Seraiya" Kyra said simply as her eyes gave off a green glow. "before you I was the one the world wanted gone" Kyra told her. "in fact it was your very own uncle who took over my body intending to use my power for his own gains" Kyra said. "what are you talking about?" Seraiya asked.
Kyra walked down the steps. "when I was born everyone was afraid, they didn't know what exactly I was capable of or what I would one day do. Some wanted me dead while others wanted to use me or even sacrifice me for my power" Kyra admitted to her. "I was a lot like you and all I wanted to do was protect my loved ones but I realized too late that they didn't need my protection they didn't even need me because I was the one who needed them," Kyra told Seraiya. "Then why won't you let me out of here?" Seraiya asked. "you talk about working with them but you keeping me locked up here!" Seraiya snapped.
Kyra let out a deep breath. Suddenly she raised her arm and Seraiya was slammed against the force field. "you want to go so badly, fine" said Kyra. "beat me, prove you have the power to protect them because if you don't not only will you be risking your life but the lives of everyone you'll be fighting beside" Kyra told her.
Seraiya's eyes gave off a golden glow again before Kyra was suddenly thrown backward onto the steps. Seraiya fell to her knees when suddenly a red wolf lunged at her. She quickly jumped out of the way making the wolf hit the barrier. Kyra wasn't using magic? But why? What did she have up her sleeve? Instead of shifting into a wolf as well, Seraiya decided to stay in her human form. Kyra was older than her, she was more well-versed in both fighting and magic. If Seraiya wanted to beat Kyra she would have to do it not with power or skill, but smarts.
But could Seraiya even be smarter than Kyra? It didn't matter. No matter what Seraiya had to beat Kyra. "Ianuae" Seraiya said attempting to teleport out of the barrier but failing as she teleported right into it. Suddenly she heard a growl from behind her. Seraiya turned to see Kyra slowly approaching her. "globus ignis," Seraiya said as she threw her hand up and a ball of fire came out of it towards Kyra. Kyra jumped out of the way. As the fireball now went towards the pack house Kyra turned and barked. The fireball suddenly spun around and went towards Seraiya. "convertit in aquam" Seraiya said and the fireball turned into water and fell to the ground.
"you can use magic in your wolf form?" Seraiya questioned. This wasn't working. Seraiya thought to herself. Seraiya suddenly shifted into her wolf form. "if you want to stop me don't hesitate" Kyra's voice echoed in her head. "Fight to kill," Kyra told her. Seriaya and Kyra now circled each other. Kyra was right. Seraiya thought. She had to fight to win and to win she would have to kill.
It was an urge Seriaya had fought to suppress her whole life, but right now she would need it. Seraiya Lunged at Kyra and Kyra dodged, jumping out of the way, Seraiya managed to grab Kyra's foot and flip her, throwing her into the barrier. Kyra silently whimpered as she stood up and shook off the pain. She ran towards Seraiya, and Seraiya jumped towards her as well. Kyra grabbed Seraiya by the neck and pinned her to the ground as they landed. Seraiya struggled to get out of Kyra's grasp but was unable. Seraiya became desperate. Suddenly her eyes gave off another golden glow and the earth began to shake suddenly Kyra was thrown off of Seraiya and past the barrier. The barrier was down. Kyra lay unconscious on the ground, as blood came from Seraiya's neck.
Seraiya took off running into the woods, she had gotten lucky. Though she had no clue how she managed to beat Kyra the way she did she knew it wouldn't be long before she would wake up. Now it was Alvera's turn. Seraiya thought as she began to run faster. Her wolf healing had already kicked in and her neck had begun to heal.
Seraiya sniffed the air for Anya. She knew that Anya would be wherever Aaron was and Aaron would be in the middle of the fight. Seraiya ran for what felt like forever. When she finally stopped she was far enough away from the fight that no one would notice her. Seraiya shifted into her human form and kneeled on the ground. "pone me vestimenta sua" she said and clothes suddenly appeared on her naked body.
It was only then that Seraiya noticed how quiet it was. Was she in the right place? she asked herself. Sure she had never been in an actual fight between multiple other supernaturals, but she knew it wouldn't be this quiet. Seraiya quietly made her way through the trees. That was when she noticed it. Everyone frozen in time. She slipped her way into the crowd and found her way to her brother. Seraiya put her hands on her brother "unfreeze ex tempore" Suddenly Damien unfroze and pushed Seraiya away. -sh- she linked him. -what are you doing here?- he asked her through the link -that's not important now we have to save Anya- she told him as she pointed to Alvera who held Anya by the neck as she sucked out her magic.
-Stay here and act frozen until I Link You- Seraiya told Damien. Damien gave her a nod and Seraiya slipped through the crowd.
"She'll end up dying alone just like you" Seraiya heard Alvera say. Seraiya climbed up on a rock so she now stood above Alvera. "She's not alone," Seraiya said.
