Chapter 38 - 38. The calm

Opening his eyes, Osiris was awoken by the sounds of birds chirping on the nearby tree outside his bedroom window.

Feeling the sun's rays shine through the crack of the partially open blinds, warmth spread throughout his body as he fully awoke from his deep sleep.

Looking down at his chest, Osiris found his two wives sleeping with peaceful expressions, so peaceful Eris was even droll8ng a little bit on his chest.

Staring at his wives beautiful faces, their content smiles gave him another reason to live and get stronger, to be able to protect and ensure that the lives they live are free from regret and suffering.

Squeezing them a little closer to him with his strong arms, careful not to disturb their sleep too much, he leaned down and gave kisses all over their foreheads and faces, slowly giving each part of them a slow but passionate peck.

But it deemed he got too passionate in his show of affection as they stirred awake, rubbing their eyes as they came to.

Being greeted by their husbands handsome smiling face, and feeling the warmth left from his lips on their faces, they couldn't help but surge with happiness, breaking out into smiles that showed their perfect white teeth.

"Good morning, my love".

Aria was the first to greet him, crawling up onto his chest and giving him a deep kiss, pushing her tongue into his mouth as they both loved to do, and showed their affection for each other in the most intimate way they could.

Breaking the kiss after about three minutes, they pulled away from each other, leaving a trail of saliva connecting them and Aria's face beginning to heat up.

But she knew Osiris had to hurry up and go hunt more beasts so that he could get stronger for both their sakes.

She was dead serious when she told him that she craved him more every day, if she didn't get him soon she was going to go insane.

Getting up out of the bed, she put on her bra that she had taken off last night before leaving the room, making sure to sway her perky ass from side to side, giving Osiris a show that he couldn't break his eyes away from.

Once she left, Osiris turned his head to see Eris's slightly pouting face.

"Don't just focus on my sister, husband".

She said, before climbing on top of hum and straddling his abdomen, leand down with her hands holding both sides of his face and stole his lips.

Her mouth as passionate as ever as she pushed her sweet tongue into his mouth, her cherry flavor overwhelming Arias' citrusy flavor that she had left behind.

Holding her by the hips, Erris began grinding on his lithe abdomen,  slightly moaning into his mouth as she got lost.

After a couple minutes of the intense and erotic makeout session, Eris pulled away with deep breaths, gasping for air as her hazy eyes stared into Osiris's blazing pupils.

"I'd never neglect or forget about you Eris".

Osiris suddenly spoke with a serious tone, making sure that Eris understood how much he loved and cherished her.

Seeing the sincere look in his eye's, Eris smiled and said happily.

"I know husband, I know you will treat us equally".

"I just feel a little competitive sometimes when I see you two get intimate is all".

Leaning up, Osiris initiated another deep kiss, while his hands squeezed her large breasts, before breaking away a moment later and saying.

"You're so cute, my love".

His words made Eris break out into a deep blush, and her first reaction was to break out of his hold and run back to her room with a.

"Hmph"

But Osiris could see right through her act, catching a glimpse of the smile on her face before she turned and left the room.

After showing his love to his wives, Osiris had a quick breakfast with them before giving kisses to his lovely wives and leaving for the day.

Flying deep into the third ring of dusk forest, Osiris continuously fought and consumed third order beasts, still not daring to attempt to enter the fourth ring since it was basically a death sentence.

This led to Osiris taking much longer for his strength to reach peak third order.

In the first week after Osiris reached early third order, some wandering traders had released some information while selling goods to the village.

Apparently the neighboring zerean kingdom to the East had sent a declaration of war to the sunset kingdom, which they were currently in, and was already sending troops to attack the border towns and cities while the sunset kingdom was doing their best to defend from the sudden invasion.

Though the people of treehaven village did not take this war too seriously, since their village was on the complete opposite side of the kingdom where the war was happening and that with the confidence of the rumored fourth order god, they didn't believe anything would happen to them.

But while the villagers didn't take it too seriously, Osiris took the war seriously, since if he really thought about it, he believed that with the rumors of the fourth order being protecting this kingdom spread around, there was no way the zerean kingdom wasn't aware.

Which meant that either they completely dismissed the rumor, or that they had the confidence to defeat the sunset kingdom even with a fourth order being.

Osiris would rather believe the latter then the former, deducing that the zerean kingdom had a fourth order protector of their own.

Not liking the fact that there was even a chance of someone being able to harm his family, Osiris put even harder effort to get stronger.

Even going so far as to sacrifice his sleep with his wives at night in order to keep hunting and killing third order beasts.

And though it saddened Eris and Aria a lot, they understood that he was doing it for them.

So even they began to put much more effort into their own practice, completely focusing on the basics and laying a solid foundation for their future, and asking Osiris for pointers any chance they got when he came home to rest every couple of days.

Although Osiris could go days without sleeping and resting, he didn't let the pressure of danger lull him into forgetting to take a rest every once and a while, letting his body recuperate and acclimate to his rapidly increasing cultivation.
