Chapter 41 - 41. Self integration

As his withered body inflated like a balloon, Osiris inspected a drop of golden blood he had willed to seep from his pores.

A skill anyone at the peak of the third order and had complete control of all their bodily functions, which Osiris quickly learned as the prodigy he was.

The ability of complete control over one's body was a skill that many learned after tens of years of practice and experience, but for Osiris it only took a couple weeks.

The skill was called 'self integration', and when it said that one has complete control of his body, it's quite literal.

From having complete control of your flow of blood to the beat of your own heart, the skill allowed Osiris to even put his own body into a comatose-like hibernation state within seconds.

Looking at the golden blood on the tip of his claw, Osiris observed its divine qualities, like how just a single drop seemed to radiate and surge with a mana filled vitality that could bring someone dying from old age back to their youth with a single taste.

Osiris knew from his inheritance that golden blood was not usual, as a being's blood usually only changes after transcending past the ninth order in the soul realm.

When a being's blood changes, it's a sign that their body has truly sublimated, and become absolutely perfect, and also the reason why it only happens after one transcends, since beings usually no matter how many impurities they remove during their cultivation, there are always a few bits here and there.

And they usually remove most impurities during the first three orders, before slowly removing the rest in the other orders.

However Since Osiris seemed to be born without any impurities at all, his body naturally sublimated after integrating the final bit of mana and completing the rebirth technique.

And his golden blood was the sign that his body had truly reached perfection, but it wasn't true perfection since his body would still become stronger as he cultivated to higher orders, but more that his foundation was complete in every way.

Aside from his blood, Osiris's body had doubled in size again, reaching a massive size of 80 ft tall and 120 ft long.

Osiris was truly happy that he had decided to finish his cultivation within the massive ravine, since even his curled up body resembles a small hill.

Standing up on all fours, Osiris spread his massive wings out wide and admired himself, his black scales lightly sparkled with a celestial light and his wings resembled the cosmos.

Suddenly, as he inspected himself and felt that his body had fully recovered all his blood and health to its peak, Osiris felt something change on his body.

Specifically his back, near the base of his wings.

He felt an involuntary movement that for a being that could control every bit of his body, surprised him.

But he didn't reject the change, for he could sense that his body was actually evolving in a way.

As two large mounds began to form on his back, the mellow pain slowly grew as new bones began to splinter out from his spine and grow.

Upon that frame, meat began to quickly generate along it before finally new hide and scales covered its entire being.

Once it was all done, Osiris looked back to his new addition, which was a second pair of wings that formed behind the first pair.

The second pair of wings brought another more otherworldly feeling to his already exotic look within this galaxy.

And while it may seem surprising, Osiris had a hunch that this might happen, since it was common for those of royalty within their respective dragon clans to sometimes grow another pair of wings if their bloodline was pure enough.

And that was one thing that Osiris was completely confident of, and it also gave him some hints as to who his parents were.

He had his guesses before, but this pair of second wings confirmed that he was of a royal lineage in the dragon race, though which clan was unknown since he knew of no clan that had the ability to possess all elements, which left his guessing.

He did not focus on it long however, since it would all become clear after he completed this trial.

The final characteristic that changed the most were his horns, as the first pair he had when he was born had already grown much larger, and he had also begun to grow a second pair right behind the first, matching his wings.

Horns for males within the dragon race were very important to them, as the more large and robust, as well as how beautiful they were, was a large indication of how attractive they were to other dragons, especially females.

And Osiris current stature was, to say the least, absolutely drop dead gorgeous to other dragons.

And while Osiris didn't give much thought about it, he was still very proud of his appearance.

After inspecting his body and getting used to the new changes, Osiris slowly beat his wings, ascending up and out of the ravene that was still clouded with blood mist.

Breaking through the red fog, Osiris looked down from his position in the sky at the mouth-like ravene that seemed to breathe out the red mist.

Thinking about the potential repercussions of leaving it unattended, he went into great considerations.

With blood from a very powerful race like the dragons, if ordinary creatures were to breathe in enough of it, their own bloodline would eventually become overridden by the dragon blood.

Giving results to weird mutations that could appear over time, like a bird growing dragon scales or a wolf growing dragon claws and wings on their backs.

The mutations were endless, however Osiris could tell that the mist was slowly dissipating, being absorbed into the surrounding atmosphere, so it wasn't as serious as it may seem.

At most maybe a couple hundred in a forest population of more that a million would gain mutations if they came close, making Osiris dismiss the possible trouble it may cause.

Osiris was even slightly curious at what may happen afterwards, as though he was doing a small experiment of his own.

Thinking of it this way, Osiris took note to come here in the future and see what became of this area, before turning around and flying towards Treehaven village.
