Chapter 34 - 34. Training prep pt 7

Watching Osiris curl up into himself and speak in a hurried tone, the siblings ran over to him as quickly as they could, and when they got near, Eris shouted in a worried tone.

"Husband, are you alright, what's happening!".

"Everythings fine my love, I just have to quickly break into the third order before this mana overwhelms me".

He spoke quickly and precisely.

"I must concentrate now, watch the surroundings and protect me while I'm cultivating".

The three nodded their heads in response, forming a triangular formation around Osiris's large body with each person standing in a corner, keeping watch around the perimeter while also dividing a bit of attention to make sure Osiris is alright.

Feeling the mana flowing through him, he forced the mana with his mind power to meld it to his will.

Using the mana, he combined it within his bloodstream as well as the marrow of the bones, which would usually remove any impurity from the blood while slowly refining his bloodline.

But as stated before, his body seemed to be already perfect, devoid of any impurities at all.

Meaning instead of wasting time refining his blood and marrow of impurities, he could focus on turning his blood, enriching it to be more viscous and nutrient-mana rich, which his body could move efficiently due to his already improved organs.

And refine his marrow, which in turn would continue the production of purer and thicker blood, as well as a heightened regeneration of blood after a possible future battle that would bleed him dry.

One of the biggest reasons the third order is so powerful is because of the refinement of the blood, and for beasts the bloodline itself, is because after refinement of the blood it begins to enrich and strengthen all of the body as a whole.

Meaning while the first two orders refine certain parts of the body, the third order strengthens the body as a whole.

As the mana mixed and merged into his blood, Osiris felt as though the blood within his whole body was bubbling under a scalding hot flame.

Especially his bones which housed the marrow, which felt like a burner on an electric stove as they slowly heated up and turned red hot under the high voltage.

Standing around 10 ft away from Osiris, the three felt as though they were standing near a furnace turned to max temperature, billowing hot air in every direction.

And though they were concerned, they dared not disturb him while in the middle of cultivation.

This went on for around an hour, before the heat began receding and Osiris let out a large breath of hot turbid air.

Returning to his human form and opening his eyes, Osiris was met by the stares of the three concerned siblings.

To which he gave them a smile in confirmation that he was alright, and upon seeing this, Eris and Aria both rushed into his arms, laying on to him with all their strength.

"You worried us there for a while".

Eris spoke in a relieved tone, which Aria nodded in agreement with a cute 'hm'.

"Sorry about that, I truly underestimated the amount of mana the spirit parrot gave me and overestimated my body's strength to hold mana".

"The amount of mana the parrot gave me all at once was equivalent to the amount required for an average being to go from the early first order to peak second order".

Osiris said in a calm but somewhat amused tone, which made Adam curious as he asked.

"If you used so much mana all at once, then how far did you make it into the third order?".

To which Osiris shook his head and said.

"I only made it to the limit of early third order".

Which caused Adam to look at him in bewilderment, prompting Osiris to explain.

"Dragons require a lot more mana to go from order to order compared to humans or beings of other races".

"And even then, among dragons, I seem to be an irregularity from what I know".

Which led Adam to nod his head in understanding, before continuing.

"Do beings that require more mana to cultivate mean that they are stronger than those that require less?".

"Indeed, it's a basic fundamental of the world that beings that require more mana are stronger since hire mana requirements equal that much more strength gained essentially".

Osiris responded, while Adam nodded, seemingly contemplating something.

After Eris and Aria made sure Osiris was alright, the group then headed further west into the forest in search for more prey.

Eventually they came upon a large brown snake reminiscent of an anaconda, which was around 70 ft long and about 4 ft in diameter.

It was currently wrapped around the stump of a tree, its head somewhere unknown as it tucked into itself.

Seeing his prey, Osiris turned towards Adam, who was already prepared and quickly handed his sword over in anticipation of learning something new.

Walking up to the headless constrictor, Osiris decided the best possible option to lure its head out was to go with the old tried and true method, pissing it off.

Osiris took the sword into a reverse grip with both hands and stabbed it down into the body of the beast, resulting in a loud hiss and its body thrashing all around.

Quickly pulling the blade out and moving about 10 ft away into a defensive stance, Osiris watched as blood sprayed from the snake's body as it whrithed and unraveled itself from around the tree.

Dodging to the left, Osiris managed to evade a lunge-strike from the anaconda as its head suddenly burst from within the mountain of snake towards him.

Taking the chance before it retracted its head, Osiris swung his blade and slashed into the snake's body, however the lesser-sharp edge of the steel sword wasn't enough to inflict damage upon the snake's durable and slippery scales along its hide.

After the failed strike, the snake quickly retracted its head in moments, poised for another strike as Osiris spoke.

"As you may have noticed, we are once again in a predicament where the tools don't match the strength of our opponent, however it usually happens quite often in battles and the only way to win such battles is with better technique and knowledge".

"Knowledge Such as where the opponents weak spots are and their important organs lay within their bodies".

"But in our case right now, the only real weak spots this snake has are the obvious ones, like its mouth, nose and eyes".

And once again the snake lunged at him with its mouth wide open and its fangs poised to latch onto him before bringing him into a stranglehold.

Watching the snake's strike, instead of dodging, he thrust his sword into the roof of the snake's mouth and through its skull, instantly taking its life, while its body ran into Osiris's while carrying the momentum of the attack it had launched.

But Osiris stood there akin to a speeding car slamming into a concrete pillar, his poise unaffected.
