Chapter 1 - The End and The Beginning

"Refrain from telling that to anyone. Listen to me, don't ever say anything if anyone ask, do you understand, Elijah?"

Those were the last thing his parents warned him about before they perished and disappear, forever. Their faces were covered with deep wounds and filthy bloods.

Once again, Elijah can feel his stomach swirling almost making him vomit from the memory.

"Ma'am, are you really fine bringing him like that?"

An old man asked in a concerned tone as he eyed the boy whose covered with blood and mud. The other people, which is probably his parent, protected him from the impact making him survive.

His eyes landed on the old lady who finally spoke in a soft and low tone.

"Yes, it's fine. However, their bodies..."

Knowing where the conversation is headed and they didn't want the boy to hear it. The old man faked a cough as he aswered.

"Don't worry about it. We will give you notice once the investigation ended."

The old lady nodded in understanding before she looked down at the boy then kneel infront of him and reach out for both of his bloody hands.

She looked up as pity washed over her face. He really look like his parents. That thought made her worry even more.

All she can do was give the boy a hug since words won't confort him. Words are not enough to comfort his pain. It's not enough to heal his wounda either.

Elijah didn't move an inch as he looked up at the Old Man standing one feet away from them. There was an owl resting on his shoulder.

He's a beast tamer.

Elijah knows it because no one else around them even point out about it. The Old Man gave him a faint smile before slightly bowed his head before walking away.

Was a secret meant to be hidden forever?

The boy stared up in sky which is currently covered with dark clouds. Implying that it will rain soon. Elijah shut his eyes as he thought.

I'm sorry.
