After a few minutes, Everly returned to the room and halted when she saw that everyone looking at her, almost like they were expecting something. She glanced at Ania, then at Ivan, and asked, "Is something wrong?"
Ivan cleared his throat, offering her a gentle small smile. "Did you open the file I gave you yesterday?"
Everly shook her head, walking over to Ivan. She leaned down and placed Fluffy on the floor before sitting at the edge of the bed, where he was. "No," she said. "I insisted we'd open it only when you woke up."
Ania sighed with her legs crossed, pushing some of her hair back and chuckling. "That's right. I was so tempted to see what was inside, but I had to respect Everly's decision."
"Ah, I see." He nodded, grunting as he tried to sit up.
Noticing how he was struggling, Everly leaned closer to him and held his arm, assisting him in sitting up. "Be careful, or you'll make your wound worse."
