That night, Luzia had the lantern lit up in her room while she read through her translations. She no longer had the book, and what she knew was far too little. All she knew was that she was killed by the religious cult of Mephistopheles.
"When Mephistopheles is given a sacrifice, the deity grows stronger, but if it's the sacrifice of the greatest woman of her time, sacrosanct power will be manifested." the first line read.
"So, was that shadow the deity or was it the deity's power?" she questioned herself. Moreover, it seems that the deity loved the power of the goddess. Was that why children who had concentrated holy mana were gathered there? She bit her thumb. Her stomach lay flat on the bed while her feet dangled in the air.
"But who among this cult is the culprit?" She murmured, closed her translation, and instead turned the pages of the cookbook. On the very last page, she found a whole section dedicated by the author to the persimmons.
