"Ellie, Luiza brought me a lot of souvenirs on her trip to Saltwood." Ameera grinned from ear to ear. She gave a twirl to her new dress, which was the trendiest among the young girls in Apathey's Garden.
It was a cotton shirt with a round collar, puffy sleeves with no cuffs, and a long violet skirt with two cross stitches at two sides of the waist.
"She sure seems to have." He had a famished smile. It was late at night, and all the children had gone to sleep except for the two. He sat on the chair while sitting parallel to the hanging persimmons.
Ameera yawned sheepishly. "When will you be going to sleep?"
"In a while. Good night, little one," he wished, and Ameera headed back to her room, carrying a mug of water with her.
Elijah continued to read the tragic romance under the candelabrum, and the night fell off.
