The moment she had waited for had finally arrived. Selene Rogers would be the sole owner of her mother's company.
"Kids I am going for a meeting don't disturb aunt Jane so much okay," Selene bent down kissing their cheeks.
"Mom, when did you say we are going to see dad next?" Bryson asked, his eyes filled with hope.
"Sorry champ, I don't know, he had some business to attend to and I don't know when he'll be back," Selene cooked up a lie. She didn't imagine a few days of seeing him would leave the kids so lost.
It was like she had been denying them a father all their lives. Was she that selfish? She pushed the thought aside, not knowing what to do.
