Jake looked at his friend's accusing face, feeling that George couldn't understand how he felt at the moment.
"How are my kids going to meet me for the first time? Drunk? George, tell me what am I supposed to do? This wasn't what I planned for our first meeting," Jake complained, feeling insecure and unsure of what to do.
"Look man, what's done is done, let's just go. At least they'll appreciate you," George said, gripping his friend's hand firmly, making Jake run his hands through his hair in frustration.
Jake entered the hospital building, feeling a sense of Déjà Vu hit him. His eyes searched desperately for any sign of Selene on the hospital seats, but he couldn't see her.
"Excuse me, did you know where a young boy was admitted just a few hours ago is?" Jake asked the nurse at the reception, feeling stupid enough that he didn't even know the names of his kids.
