As Levi's consciousness drifted toward the depths he knew well, everything darkened.
Comforting darkness and emptiness, where nothing could reach him, nothing would hurt him.
There was this presence with him. He knew it very well.
He felt pulled toward her and let the current bring him forward.
When things had gotten dark;
When that emptiness welled up;
When he felt hopeless;
She was there.
He wanted her like she wanted him.
They could be one, yet something was pulling him back.
She was so close. He'd get in her embrace, but something from the real world brought him back to a half-state of consciousness.
Lydia?
A hand was on the back of his head, as something hugged him, tightening its embrace on his real body.
He looked at the Goddess, her arms were still open.
He was drifting back, yet as he expected her expression to sour it didn't.
