Chapter 90 - Irked Noah

"Ah!!!!" "Ah!!!!" Everyone yelled as they felt the sharp sting from the broken glass scattered around them.

Noah, fuming with rage, stepped forward and gripped Mr. Warren's chin tightly, forcing him to meet his gaze. "You really think you can get away with this, huh?"

The sudden jolt made Mr. Warren yelp in pain, but Noah wasn't about to release him that easily.

"Sir... sir, I have no idea who you are. What do you mean by daring?" Mr. Warren stammered, his voice shaky as Noah's grip made it tough for him to talk.

"Oh, so you're just a bully to others' sisters, but you don't even know who their brother is," Noah said, a sarcastic grin spreading across his face, his icy demeanor clear as day.

Mr. Warren couldn't believe what he just heard. His eyes instinctively darted to the file behind Noah, and it all clicked for him.

"Wait... is that your... sister?" Mr. Warren stammered, his voice barely escaping as he felt a chill looking at Noah.

Noah flashed a wicked grin at Mr. Warren, released his grip on his jaw, and turned to Ethan, who was lounging on a nearby couch.

"Where's your gun?" Noah's commanding tone sent shivers down everyone's spine, making the people on the floor feel uneasy.

Even David and Carter were taken aback by Noah asking their boss for a weapon.

They were aware that Noah had a military background, but now he was trying to fit into civilian life for some holiday, where rules were meant to be followed.

Still, things were a bit different when it came to their boss since Noah held the higher rank in the military, while their boss had no ties to any government position.

Ethan noticed Noah's anger escalating and realized it was time to intervene.

"Don't even think about it," Ethan said calmly as he approached Noah.

Noah shot him a piercing glare, his eyes and demeanor radiating coldness.

The others felt a chill from Noah's intense stare and were too intimidated to look up, fearing that his wrath might turn towards them.

Ethan didn't care about it and went towards Noah, "I don't want to leave a bad image to my fiancée just after taking my brother-in-law out, after her return."

Noah didn't have much reaction to it, and Ethan knew that this couldn't calm him down, but still, he looked at Noah and said, "So, don't even think about doing anything with me here."

When Noah heard this, suddenly he thought of something and asked, "Right, how come you are so calm even after learning what they were planning to do?"

"Who said I'll leave them? I just didn't want to dirty my hands since my fiancée is back." Ethan said as if it was a matter of fact, which made Noah turn around in anger after hearing Ethan call his sister fiancée in front of him so many time along with calling him brother-in-law.

Listening to their chat, Mr. Warren felt like everything around him was falling apart.

What was he hearing? This guy's sister was engaged to Mr. Anderson? Since when did Mr. Anderson even have a fiancée? And the one his son had been involved with?

No way!!! This can't be happening!!

Mr. Warren yelled in panic inside him, imagining the chaos that would unfold if that girl turned out to be Ethan's fiancée.

To gather his thoughts, he glanced at Carter next to him and asked, his voice trembling, "Mr. Carter, is that girl... Mr. Anderson's fiancée?"

Carter noticed the fear and anxiety on his face and couldn't help but smirk. "I guess you really went out looking for trouble, huh?" he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

After that, he turned away from Mr. Warren, but it was clear from Carter's words that the girl was indeed Ethan's fiancée, which meant the odds of his family making it through this were pretty slim.

Noah was fuming just thinking about the bounty the Warren family had put out. But then he remembered what Ethan had said; it wouldn't be wise to get his hands dirty right after his sister had finally come back home.

Then a thought struck him, and he pointed at the Davis family, asking Ethan, "If the Warren family is here because of Lia, what's the deal with them?"

Ethan completely ignored the Davis family and plopped down on the nearby couch, leaving Noah to deal with David all by himself.

Noticing Ethan's silence, Noah shot a fierce glare at David, prompting him to glance back and forth between Ethan and Noah.

Since his master hadn't mentioned anything about keeping this from Noah, David decided to fill him in on why the Davis family was there.

Noah was already fuming over the Warren family, and hearing about the Davis family's actions pushed him over the edge. He stormed over to Mr. Davis, shoved the two women aside, and unleashed his fury on him.

Rosy was the one taking charge, while Noah had this thing about not hitting women, so he could only vent his frustration on the male members of the family.

Despite Mrs. Davis and Rosy crying out in fear and pleading for mercy, he didn't even spare them a glance and continued to beat on Mr. Davis.

David, noticing that Mr. Davis was close to death, approached Ethan, who was just watching the chaos unfold, and said, "Boss, if this keeps up, Mr. Davis is a goner."

Ethan glanced at David but stayed silent, while Carter stepped in with a smirk, saying, "And? What if he kicks the bucket? He's not exactly a saint."

"You....." David didn't know why this Carter opened his mouth at this time.

Carter had this smug grin on his face, eyebrows raised like he was enjoying the moment.

Ethan glanced at Noah, stood up, and walked over to him, stopping him just before he could throw another punch at Mr. Davis. He pulled Noah over to the couch to sit down.

David felt a wave of relief wash over him and quickly grabbed a glass of water along with some wiping cloth for Noah since the table was in pieces.

Ethan turned to Noah, who was still fuming and said, "Chill out, man. Just relax."

Noah grabbed the glass from David but totally zoned out on Ethan's words, his gaze locked on the crowd on the floor, especially on Rosy, with a look that could cut through steel.

Rosy finally realized why her family was dragged here and put through so much pain for hours. It was all because of her actions earlier that morning.
