Ethan gazed into her eyes, shining like stars, unable to look away from her beauty. He didn't want anyone to stare at his girl with those filthy eyes.
He grabbed two masks from the car's small cabinet and handed them to Zara.
"Put it on before you go out," he said.
Zara glanced at the masks in front of her, then up at Ethan. Without a word, she took the mask and put it on.
Ethan smiled as he watched Zara don the mask, and he put one on himself before stepping out with her.
David had already come out and opened the door for Zara to get out of the car. She gave Ethan a gaze before stepping out, with him still holding her hand.
The parking area was quite empty, so there weren't many people around.
Zara glanced down at their hands, feeling a bit uneasy, and told Ethan, "We're in public. Let go of my hand."
She didn't want to cause a scene by forcefully pulling her hand away. It seemed pointless to even try, as she couldn't do it.
Ethan noticed Zara's irritation and realized she wanted him to let go.
He gazed into her eyes and reassured her, "No one knows us, so there's nothing to worry about."
Zara's patience wore thin as she demanded, "Are you going to let go of my hand or what?!"
Ethan couldn't help but admire Zara's beauty, even when she was angry. Her cold eyes contrasted with her fair skin, making her even more captivating to him.
Ethan's desire to keep Zara close was evident as he struggled to speak, "Fine, but stick by my side."
Ethan waited for Zara's response, his head tilted slightly in anticipation.
Zara pondered for a moment and concluded that it would be more appropriate than holding hands, so she gave him a nod.
Observing her nod, Ethan reluctantly let go of her hand but still spoke seriously, "Stay close to me."
Zara felt like she was being monitored.
She pushed that idea to the back of her mind and scanned the surroundings, only to discover that she was in a mall.
She shifted her gaze to Ethan and inquired with her eyebrows raised, "Why did you bring me to the mall?"
"To get you something," Ethan replied as he headed towards the elevator.
David lingered behind, patiently waiting for Zara to take the lead.
Zara let out a small sigh as she trailed behind Ethan, stepping into the elevator.
The elevator came to a stop on the third floor, where the mall showcased high-end items from top international brands.
Exiting the elevator, Zara and Ethan walked ahead while David followed closely behind.
The mall was bustling with weekend shoppers, despite the fact that most wouldn't make purchases on this floor.
Upon stepping out of the elevator, all eyes turned to Zara and Ethan.
People usually don't pay attention to those exiting the elevator, but Zara and Ethan's presence stood out - their confident stride and aura drew everyone's eyes toward them.
"I wonder who those two individuals could be?"
"Maybe they're famous personalities?"
"Judging by how they're concealing their faces, it's likely they're from the entertainment world."
"Although, their presence gives off a different vibe. The chilling aura they exude gives me goosebumps."
"You might be right. They could be influential figures."
As soon as the two figures were spotted, a stir began and people started chatting, some even taking out their phones to snap some pictures.
As soon as they noticed Ethan's icy glare towards the photographers, they hurriedly put away their phones, afraid of his reaction.
Upon seeing the man trailing behind Ethan, they realized it was best not to upset these two individuals. Consequently, the crowd quickly dispersed.
Despite David's laid-back demeanor at times, it was clear that as Ethan's secretary, he had to maintain a certain level of professionalism.
The duo headed straight to the GL fashion store, renowned as a top international brand favored by aristocrats worldwide.
Zara's face scrunched up in confusion as she glanced at the shop's name, debating whether or not to make a purchase.
Ethan, standing next to Zara, noticed her puzzled expression but couldn't quite figure out what was bothering her.
As more customers walked in, the salesperson approached them to offer assistance.
"Welcome to GL Fashion. How can I assist you, sir?" A young woman in her twenties greeted them with a friendly smile.
Ethan turned to Zara and inquired calmly, "Would you like to try something on and see if you like it?"
"Do I really have to try it on?" Zara questioned, her voice tinged with annoyance.
She wasn't feeling up for shopping, but now she's stuck trying on dresses. Tough luck.
Seeing her unhappy expression, Ethan calmly said, "Sit in the room." And glanced at the salesgirl and headed over to the dresses.
The salesperson trailed after him, loading up her arms with exclusive pieces from the brand.
Meanwhile, as Ethan entered, Zara was already settled in the private room with David.
Glancing at her phone, she suddenly had an idea and got to her feet.
David glanced at Zara, "Ms. Zara, is there anything I can help you with?"
"No," Zara replied. After a moment, she continued, "I'll check out other stores. Let your Boss know once he's done here."
"Should I accompany you, Ms. Zara?" David inquired, considering his options.
"No need, stay here," Zara instructed, gazing at David. "But..." David hesitated, sensing it might not be wise.
If his boss discovered he had left Zara unattended, he'd be in big trouble.
Zara reassured David, "Don't worry about your Boss."
She left the shop and scanned the floor for other interesting stores.
A jewelry shop immediately caught her eye, so she made her way over to take a closer look at the items on display.
While she was looking at the jewelry to check whether the collections were good in here, two girls approached the same store.
Upon entering, they noticed the girl who seemed fascinated by the pieces in the display.
Seeing her casual attire of jeans, a loose sweater, a cap, and a mask, they couldn't help but feel a sense of judgment towards her.
With a look of disdain, they glanced at Zara before confidently striding into the store.
