Chapter 49 - Portrait Them

After pondering for a bit, Mrs. Warren glanced at Elis and inquired, "Do you have any idea who those two individuals are?" "Have you managed to uncover any information about them?"

"No way, Auntie." Elis shook his head, his gaze dropping to the ground. "Seriously, how are we going to track down those two? I won't just let them slip away like that," Mrs. Warren exclaimed with frustration.

Mr. Warren paused briefly, then remarked, "Obtaining the surveillance footage might pose a challenge for us, especially considering the issues happened at the hotel."

Even with his frustration towards his son's behavior and his wife's lack of supervision, Mr. Warren's anger was primarily directed at those who harmed his son, causing him to lose consciousness and bringing embarrassment to his family at the Velvet Bistro early in the day.

Despite the fact that the kick didn't appear to cause any visible damage, Caleb's body couldn't handle it, which is why he remained unconscious. However, the doctor reassured them that it wasn't a serious issue.

"So, what's our next move? I won't let those two off the hook so easily, regardless of their privileged upbringing," Mrs. Warren declared, glancing at her husband.

"I'll check it out. No need to stress. He's my son too." Mr. Warren reassured his wife. After consoling her, Mr. Warren pulled Elis aside for a chat.

"Elis, I need a favor from you." "Of course, Uncle. What do you need?" "I need your help in identifying those two individuals. Even if you can recognize just one of them, it would be greatly appreciated."

Elis paused for a moment before speaking up, "Uncle, I'm not sure it's going to be simple. They managed to reach Mr. Ethan's assistant with just one phone call. It might not be as easy as we think."

Mr. Warren reassured Elis by patting his shoulder, "Don't stress about it, Elis. I'll make sure you stay out of it. Just help me out by describing them to an artist so that we can make a portrait of them."

Elis paused for a moment before agreeing, "Sure thing, Uncle." "I appreciate it, Elis. Remember, I'm here if you ever need assistance."

"Uncle, Caleb is a good friend of mine, I'll help him out." Elis flashed a smile at Mr. Warren and got back to finishing the task.

Mrs. Warren, noticing Mr. Warren's presence, quickly inquired, "Did you manage to have any idea to find them?"

After everyone left, it was just Mr. and Mrs. Warren left in the ward. Mr. Warren cast a disdainful glance at his wife and snapped, "See what your son has done? He's completely tarnished our family's name."

"Does he also have to create a scene at the Anderson family's business place, huh?" Mrs. Warren was furious too, listening to her husband scolding both her and their son.

She reached her breaking point and yelled, "What on earth are you saying?! You can't even defend your own child from a few idiots. Who do you think you are to lecture me?!"

"You sure have a way with words, huh? If you're brave enough to challenge the young master of the Anderson family, then be my guest. I won't intervene. Just don't bring up the Warren family's name in there!"

Upon hearing Mr. Warren's words, Mrs. Warren fell silent as she realized that, despite the support of the Warren family, she had no chance against the young master of the Anderson family.

Is it possible for her to confront them alone without any backup? She's not foolish enough to willingly walk into a lion's den. Instead, she chose to quietly sit next to her son's bed and watch over him while he was unconscious.

Lily, who was responsible for all the trouble, had to go back to her hometown at her parents' request once they found out what had happened at the hotel. They didn't have enough influence to confront someone from the capital.

Despite Lily's reluctance to leave after encountering Caleb, her mother managed to convince her to go back and advised her to patiently wait for the right moment to seek revenge.

After a long day of shopping and exploring fun places, Hendry and Zara finally arrived home past six. Kylie, who had been eagerly waiting in the living hall, quickly stood up upon hearing their voices.

She glanced at the numerous bags that Hendry was carrying, accompanied by a few maids. With a smile, Kylie called out to her daughter, "Lia, come over here!"

Zara approached her mom, and Kylie immediately took Zara's hand and guided her to sit on the couch beside her. "How was your day, Lia? Did you have fun?"

Zara simply nodded at Kylie and accepted the water glass from Ava, who promptly brought her a glass of water to quench her thirst. "Have you both had dinner?" Kylie inquired, glancing at Zara.

Hendry placed the bags down and instructed the servants, "Place all these things in Lia's closet." "Ok, Second Young Master."

The servants quickly went to do their work as they were instructed. Hearing his mother's question, he turned his face and said, "We ate, Mom. But just get some night snacks for Lia in case she gets hungry."

"Sure, why not? Ava, ask the kitchen to prepare some fruits and Greek yogurt pudding with no nuts. Okay?" Kylie told Ava, keeping Zara's preferences in mind.

"Got it, Madam." Ava nodded and headed back to the kitchen to pass on the message to the chef.

"Mom, do you know where Jack is?" Hendry inquired after searching the hall. "He's still in his room from this morning and didn't come out when he realized you two had left him alone."

Zara glanced up at the second floor and let out a small smile. Catching sight of her daughter's grin, Kylie remarked, "Your third brother hasn't changed a bit, has he?" Zara simply nodded in agreement.

"I'll go check on him," Zara declared. "Hold on, he'll come down on his own," Kylie reassured her calmly. Just then, a voice echoed from the staircase, filled with irritation.

"Now, you returned, ah?" "How dare you take out Lia behind my back?" Jack stormed towards Hendry, seething with anger. "Hii, Third Brother," Zara greeted him, halting his advance.

Upon hearing his sister's gentle voice, Jack's anger dissipated as he gazed at her and inquired, "How was your day, Lia?" "If you think he hasn't been looking after you properly, just let me know, and I'll sort it out for you."

Jack walked past Hendry without acknowledging him and made his way to sit next to Zara on the couch. Zara smiled and replied, "It was nice, brother." "If you ever want to go out, just let me know. I'll come with you," Jack offered.

"Okay," Zara responded calmly, meeting his gaze. "Mom, why can't I see dad?" Jack inquired, noticing the absence of his father figure while his sister and mother were both there.

Kylie glanced at Jack and mentioned, "He is occupied with something in his study, but would be joining us shortly."

Despite Andrew passing on the family business to Jack, he still had his own business to oversee, which he had delegated to others since each of his sons already had their own responsibilities.

He didn't want his sons to be burdened with additional responsibilities and lose sight of their personal lives while running the business.

Despite delegating the business to someone else, he still held significant influence in the company, making it necessary to consult him for most decisions.

Whenever he found a spare moment, he made sure to finish his tasks before spending quality time with his family.
