I wanted to deny the feeling, but it was constantly eating me up inside. Someone clearly wanted Sylvia out of the picture, and matter how much I tried to deny it, I couldn't help but feel like it was Melanie. Sylvia barely had enemies, I would argue she had none at all, so who else could possibly want to come after her life besides Melanie.
"Is something the matter?" Sylvie's gentle voice broke into my thoughts. "You weren't listening, were you?" She asked with her brows raised in curiosity and concern.
"I'm sorry, I got distracted by my thoughts. What were you saying again?" I apologized before focusing my attention on her. Antonio still sat by the door side, and from time to time would exchange glances with Sylvia. He was my second suspect, but after seeing the way he looked at Sylvie, it became clear that he would never want to harm her.
