Chapter 22 - ASSIGNING JOBS

In the humble confines of a hut, Aqua initiated the assembly with a commanding tone. Seated authoritatively, Aqua was encircled by the seven elites and a diverse gathering of villagers.

Maria rose to her feet, addressing the pressing issue of accommodation. "Sir, the construction of huts for those who accompanied Tien is still underway; hence, we lack the space for the hundred souls you've brought along."

Aqua pondered briefly before suggesting, "Perhaps the villagers could share their homes temporarily?"

Maria countered, "We've already imposed on their hospitality to house the beastmen contingent."

Unfazed, Aqua proposed a solution. "Then it's settled. I shall erect temporary shelters to the village's south—around two hundred should suffice, equipped with the necessary amenities."

Maria acknowledged, satisfied with the resolution to the housing dilemma.

Helina stood next, her concern palpable. "My king, our food stores will last but five days given our current numbers. We're running low on vegetation and meat alike."

"Where might we procure sustenance nearby?" Aqua inquired, seeking a swift remedy.

Subedar offered his local knowledge. "My lord, my hometown is near, and it has ample provisions for our needs."

Aqua, relieved, instructed Helina to secure the funds post-meeting and, accompanied by Subedar and a workforce, to acquire a month's worth of provisions.

Lina then voiced another concern regarding the wounded. Aqua promptly directed Tien to distribute bandages and healing items, assigning a team to assist in the task.

Maria, ever the advisor, suggested establishing clear roles to prevent chaos. Aqua agreed, delineating responsibilities with precision.

"The time has come to assign our duties," he declared, his voice resonating with the weight of leadership.

Grey you are appointed as our millitary commander, prepare a force and recruit people and train them for any advice you can come up to me and night i want you to help grey...

Grey, standing tall and resolute, was bestowed the title of Military Commander. "Forge our defenses, train our warriors. And Night, lend your strength to Grey's cause," Aqua commanded.

"I am deeply honored, my king, to serve as the shield of our realm," Grey responded with a salute.

Night, with a spark in his eyes, added, "And I, master, am eager to stand beside Grey in our nation's defense!"

Helina, her demeanor nurturing yet firm, was appointed Welfare Manager. "Ensure every soul is nourished and sheltered," Aqua instructed.

"I shall dedicate myself to the well-being of our people, my lord," Helina vowed.

Lina, whose wisdom was unmatched, was named Bank Manager, a role met with curiosity. "What is a bank?" she inquired, her intellect piqued.

"Fear not, for I shall enlighten you in due time," Aqua reassured her.

Brawn and Gustav, the esteemed dwarf, were charged with creation. "Brawn, arm our warriors. Gustav, let your craftsmanship inspire wonders within our village," Aqua proclaimed.

"We are honored, sire," they chorused, their handshake sealing the partnership.

Sephal, the triad, stood tall. "You shall be the steward of trees and plants," Aqua declared. "Nurture fruits and foliage for both commerce and the environment."

"I accept this duty, my lord," Sephal replied, determination etched on their face.

Next, Daalia, the huntress, stepped forward. "Your task is to teach others the art of the hunt," Aqua instructed. "Bring meat to our tables, and seek assistance from anyone willing."

Daalia beamed. "I am honored, my king."

TienMaria, and Sherry—the trio—were entrusted with trade. "As Trade Managers," Aqua announced, "you'll oversee our village's commerce. Register sellers, negotiate deals, and establish the Trading Star company."

They stood united, ready to navigate the currents of commerce.

Aqua addressed the remaining villagers. "Choose your roles wisely. We lack hands, but our resolve must be unwavering. I'll assist each of you."

all the other people divide them and ask where they want to work and hire them as per your requirement, as you guys all know we are short in people so i am asking you to work extra hard in your given job... also i will be assisting everyone so you can come to me for the help!

Oshino, the mermaid, received her charge. "Guard our waters. Ensure their purity," Aqua commanded.

"As you command, Sirus," Oshino pledged, her aquatic eyes gleaming.

Maya and her group were tasked with diplomacy and entertainment. "Welcome newcomers," Aqua said. "Let the Women's Plaza be a beacon of joy."

"We shall serve with joy and honor," Maya vowed, her companions nodding in agreement.

Amidst the curious glances and the playful squinting of eyes, King Aqua cleared his throat, signaling the introduction of order within their ranks.

"Ahem! Let us lay down the laws that shall bind us," Aqua proclaimed. "Should anyone defy these edicts, they shall find themselves confined."

Maria, ever inquisitive, queried, "What edicts shall govern us, my king?"

Aqua stood, his voice echoing with authority as he delineated the fundamental laws:

Rule No. 1: "Let there be no strife amongst us; unnecessary violence shall not be tolerated."

Rule No. 2: "Shun thievery and all manner of deceit."

Rule No. 3: "Cast aside discrimination and bullying; embrace unity."

Rule No. 4: "Offer aid to one another; in service, we find strength."

Rule No. 5: "Harbor joy, bestow smiles, and safeguard our environment with gratitude."

The assembly voiced their accord, a chorus of assent rising in the hut.

"Spread the word of our discourse," Aqua commanded. "Today, we part to fulfill our duties. Maria, craft a map that reflects our discussions, inscribe these laws, and ensure they are known to all. The rest, remain; we have matters yet to discuss."

Aqua's gaze settled on Subedar, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "Tell me, who oversaw your affairs during your tenure?"

Subedar responded with a hint of pride, "My lord, my wife and daughter are adept administrators, and my son has a keen financial acumen. Moreover, I have a cadre of well-trained maids and soldiers at my disposal."

"Then let us bring them forth without delay," Aqua decreed. "Maria, take it upon yourself to brief the maids and soldiers. Integrate them into our ranks, for their skills shall bolster our collective endeavor."
