Chapter 6 - 6-A six-eyed fly thoughts

"...At least the crows didn't start a fire... this time," murmured Patel as she watched with narrowed eyes the angry birds circling in the sky. The other two maids beside her nodded, thinking the same thing.

Every time the unfortunate event occurred, the crows quickly arrived, bringing chaos to anyone who dared to harm Mrs. Mahal. Although it was very good that her mistress was safe, the crows tended to handle things in a very... extravagant way most of the time. Once, they even set an entire neighborhood on fire!

All six of Patel's eyes again watched anxiously as her lady walked slowly streets ahead. Among the three maids, Patel was tasked with leading the mission to keep Mrs. Mahal awake, but now she wondered if it would be better to return to the mansion.

Another thing that made things difficult was her lack of body or facial expression that would tell them what was going on in her head. If she was happy, they would only know based on how easy she was to cooperate with, if she was annoyed, they would feel the air get heavy, and if she was sad or angry... They should urgently call Mr. Mahal.

Mrs. Mahal was the hardest part of working at the Mahal mansion; everyone who had been work there could agree on that. Her lady wasn't mean or rude, and certainly working for her was much better than working for any other rich woman... Her mistress was just very very lazy, lazy enough not to care about almost anything that didn't involve Mr. Mahal.

It was really a bit difficult, and they never knew how to serve their lady properly without Mr. Mahal's guidance, no matter how many years of work they had or how experienced they were.

Patel couldn't predict the future, but she just hoped that no strange event would happen and end up provoking greater anger from the chaotic crows. At least she and her colleagues could be happy with the fact that it was almost impossible for their mistress to get hurt by anything.

A real relief indeed.

After a few minutes, Patel considered that it was better to try to assist her mistress on where to go. So, she quickened her pace and quickly got close to the white-haired woman.

"My lady, if you allow me, may I suggest where you could go?" Patel just hoped not to worsen her lady's strange mood.

The six-eyed woman observes with disguised nervousness as her boss stares at her silently. Only after a few seconds does she give her permission to continue speaking.

"I heard some residents of the area mention something about new imperial mythological books arriving at the library-" Ah, Patel forgot that books can be sleep-inducing! How dangerous!

"But! Maybe it's better to go to a café? If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Mahal had bought that cake for you in this city!" The six-armed woman nervously awaited the response of the albino girl who had returned to stare at her.

"..."

"..."

"Did he buy it?" Mrs. Mahal thought that maybe if she ate this cake, she could remember something.

"Yes, it was two weeks ago. He was happy to see you eating the whole cake." The albino woman was taken aback by her six-eyed fly's words; she didn't know what or where a cake was, but it seemed like a lot of food. Still, she wanted to remember something, no matter how small.

"Where is it?" Patel perks up and gestures for her colleagues to come closer; there was no need to explain anything as her colleagues had very good hearing.

In that moment, Patel thought that maybe the rest of the day could pass without difficulties.
