"Why would you say that?" Dante asked, putting aside his knife and fork. His eyes fixed on Romeo's stiff face, trying to understand what was going through his mind. However, as expected, Dante couldn't figure it out and sighed.
"Did you perhaps talk with her?" Dante asked again but Romeo refused to answer and instead finished his breakfast and got up.
"I'll be leaving first."
"Leaving?" Dante gets up, confused. "Aren't you joining us?"
"Nope," he indifferently replied and put on his long coat. "Something urgent needs my attention on campus. Also I can't trust the temple's duties to other priests. As a High priest I'm supposed to conduct the prayers in the morning and evening."
"Alright."
"Don't worry, I'll join you for dinner tonight," saying that Romeo left the dining room and Karenina came running downstairs right after.
"Where is Father Romeo?" she inquired, after not finding him anywhere. "Is he in the garden?"
