Mechelle's POV
Stepson? Could he be Louis Duncan, the second young master of the Duncan family?
My body shook suddenly, instinctively pulling my hand away as if I had really done something shameful.
I bit my lip tightly, laughing bitterly in my heart. There was an insurmountable gap between Louis Duncan and me. I was his stepmother, a broken and pitiful woman, not even worthy to stand by his side.
"Alex, you've misunderstood her. I just didn't recognize her earlier..." Louis Duncan's words were interrupted coldly by Alexander Duncan, whose sinister gaze felt like a sharp blade cutting into my skin.
He said, "Louis, how could I misunderstand our stepmother? She's the kind of woman who would sell her body for money. Even if you didn't recognize her, didn't she tell you she's the mistress of the Duncan family?"
I lifted my head, giving Alexander Duncan a indifferent glare, apologized to Louis Duncan, and then turned and walked back to my room without looking back.
I didn't want Louis Duncan to see my humiliation, let alone see my tears...
During dinner, the four of us sat around the table, the atmosphere was pleasant, but most of the time, I just listened, occasionally interjecting with irrelevant remarks.
This dinner almost exhausted me, every word from Alexander Duncan was like a sharp knife cutting me to pieces. I endured the hatred and anger in my heart, persisting until the end of the dinner.
Just as I was about to leave the table and return to my room, the sound of a car horn sounded from the yard.
Alexander Duncan chuckled and said, "I almost forgot to tell you, Ivanka Diaz has been without a place to stay. She looked pitiful, so I let her stay temporarily outside the house. I've had a room prepared for her by the nanny." He paused, then continued, "Daniel, Mechelle, I hope you don't mind my interference, especially you, Mechelle. Regardless of any conflicts between you and your sister, Ivanka is now your only relative."
I gave a slight tug at the corner of my mouth, revealing a faint smile. "You're worrying unnecessarily. It's my lack of foresight."
"We're all family, why be so polite to me," Alexander Duncan said with a smile.
"It's my fault. I've been busy these days and didn't see Ivanka at the funeral. I thought everything was arranged for her." Daniel Duncan quickly stood up to smooth things over, saying with a smile, "Let her in quickly!"
He was right. Ivanka is my only relative in this world. Although Dad never liked her, she's still his biological daughter and my only sister. As I reached the door, Ivanka Diaz got out of the car. I hurried over and said, "Ivanka, I'm sorry..."
"Sister, the one who should apologize is me. I didn't attend Dad's funeral." Ivanka Diaz pinched her own thigh hard, causing me to almost cry out in pain. Tears finally flowed as I wished.
"Ivanka, everything concerning Dad has been taken care of. I've been busy these days and didn't find time to see you." I said with a faint smile, feeling like a completely different person compared to a few days ago.
A hint of mockery crossed Ivanka Diaz's lips. She never thought that the once pampered heiress would become the second wife of an old man.
From now on, I'm no longer a proud princess. I'm not even as good as a maid.
Ivanka Diaz walked past me and stood next to Alexander Duncan, leaning in to his ear with a mocking smile. "Mechelle, you're truly despicable! Marrying an old man like that. If Dad knew, he'd be rolling in his grave."
After saying that, she turned to Alexander Duncan with a charming smile. "Alpha, thank you."
"We're all family, no need to be polite. I've already instructed the nanny to prepare a room for you." Alexander Duncan smirked, his lips curling into a half-smile.
"Mm..." Ivanka Diaz blushed shyly, this time she must seize the opportunity.
My feet felt rooted to the ground, standing quietly with my back to everyone, a bitter smile on my lips. Dad, I promised I would live well. I will definitely live well...
In the haze of sleep, I suddenly felt a heavy weight pressing on me. I opened my eyes abruptly, in the darkness, a blurry figure loomed before me. Instinctively, I wanted to scream, but a large hand tightly covered my mouth, followed by a low, mocking voice—
"Do you want your screams to attract them all?"
I deflated instantly. If Louis Duncan knew what kind of woman I was, he would surely despise me! I chuckled bitterly in my heart, biting my lip tightly, my trembling voice betraying my fear as I stared at him with terrified eyes.
"What do you want? Let go of me!"
"Heh, isn't my purpose clear enough? I want you," the man said with a wicked smile, his long fingers grazing my trembling lips, sending shivers down my spine as if I were being electrocuted.
"No, you can't do this..." I stared at the man in front of me with fear, my hands tightly protecting my chest.
"my dear, what if I insist on doing so? What will you do? Do you think anyone will come to save you? And, I warn you, stay away from Louis too closely, otherwise, I'll make you regret coming into this world."
Pain! It surged endlessly, like an overwhelming flood, threatening to drown me completely.
"What's wrong? Do you also feel lowly?" The man's voice rang out timely, disdainfully mocking me as he looked at my flushed cheeks due to the rising lust, his smirk growing more pronounced.
I clenched my fists tightly. Just as I was about to speak, the man suddenly lifted my legs high and thrust forcefully, so deep that it almost reached my soul.
"Ah!" I couldn't help but moan.
"dear, your moans are so pleasant!" The man chuckled wickedly, speeding up the rhythm.
"No! Don't..." As I reached climax, as he reached his, I passed out.
Endlessly repeating like this, the man kept taking me, making me faint, and then waking up again...
I felt like my body was being torn apart, completely not belonging to me. Countless marks were left on my fair skin by that man. I remember, he whispered in my ear, "Mechelle Diaz, remember, I'm your first man."
Dragging my exhausted body, I stumbled into the bathroom. After a night of madness, my body was filled with the scent of that man. I used up a whole bottle of shower gel, but I couldn't wash away his smell from my body. I slumped in a corner of the bathroom, tears flowing down with the water.
