"That makes it easier for us when they start to kill each other, I was beginning to worry about serving a brat like that again," Marine smirked, her eyes narrowing in disgust. "The only reason why I am helping you is because you promised us freedom, please act on your word, before they start to kill the rest of us too."
Doni let out a sharp sigh, he had been working with Marine together for a while, and even though the duchess had been placed as a spy for Rain, she worked for Doni instead, but he didn't offer her a penny instead, he offered her freedom.
"What do you mean?" Doni was still confused by the first statement.
"Didn't you ask me to report everything the duchess does to you?" Marine asked, she didn't report anything to him unless they were serious and would have a great impact on their plan. "The empress just ordered the assassination of the lady Rain on her way back to the duchy."
