CHAPTER NINETY- THREE
"Whether you attend or not, Mother, this marriage will take place," Aryan declared firmly, his voice resolute. "Rain will be the new empress, whether you like it or not. Let's go," he said, taking Rain's wrist and guiding her away from his mother's presence.
Rain glanced back once, catching the hurt and defiance in the Empress's eyes. She turned away slightly, her heart heavy with unspoken words and unshed tears. She knew the Empress hated her, and she understood why. The Empress had tried everything to avoid this marriage, driven by a fierce desire to protect her son. But Rain knew the Empress no longer needed to worry. Aryan was old enough to take care of himself, and old enough to choose his own path. Rain was also old enough to make her own decisions, even if she wasn't strong enough to resist the forces that shaped her fate.
