Chereads / Game of Thrones (Asoiaf) : Lord Robb Stark / Chapter 9 - Listen to the sound of my whistle and arrows.

Chapter 9 - Listen to the sound of my whistle and arrows.

The first training of the Wolf Cavalry is actually very simple; it is archery.

Most of them are elite soldiers who have undergone rigorous training. They are not proficient in all aspects of riding and swordsmanship, but they are at least proficient in them. It is very difficult to improve the ability of individual soldiers through training; this is what is called the marginal effect.

Therefore, Robb paid more attention to training these wolf cavalry in military tactics.

Once the number of people increases, the tactical advantage will be reflected. As long as they are trained properly, these fewer than 300 wolf cavalry can even kill 300 magic mountains!

And no matter how much they train their personal abilities, they will never be able to survive five rounds from the Demon Mountain in a one-on-one battle. This is the charm of tactics.

Today is the first day, and Robb is preparing to train to give this team what it lacks: absolute obedience to military orders.

Leading the soldiers on horseback to the jungle near Cailin Bay, Robb raised the bow and arrow in his hand and shouted to the soldiers:

"It is the duty of a soldier to obey orders. Now I am here to announce the first military order of the Wolf Cavalry. See the whistle arrow in my hand? This is my special arrow. When it is fired, it will produce a whistle-like sound."

"Then from now on, when my whistle arrow is fired, the arrow in your hand will follow my sentinel arrows and shoot them out, no matter who the target is, no matter when. Anyone who violates this order will be punished by death!"

Robb said, seeing some wolf riders still at a loss, so he drew his bow on the spot, preparing to give these wolf cavalry an on-the-spot demonstration.

Whoosh! Beep -

The whistle arrow was shot, and the sharp whistle sound echoed in the woods.

The Wolf Cavalry's hearts trembled. They immediately picked up their bows and arrows in a hurry and fired arrows in the direction of Robb's sentry arrow. Although they didn't understand the significance of this, they just did it.

"Very good, none of you are left behind." Robb nodded with satisfaction, "It seems that you have fully understood the meaning of what I just said. I hope you can keep this in mind, because it will affect your future."

The wolf cavalrymen who were praised also had a somewhat proud expression on their faces.

Next, Robb and his men wandered back and forth in the woods. When they saw the prey, they shot out a whistle arrow, followed by hundreds of arrows behind them. Very few prey could escape such a dense rain of arrows.

As soon as the prey died, Gray Wind, the huge direwolf, immediately rushed out, picked up the prey, and placed it under Robb's horse to claim credit.

"Well done, well done!"

Robb was in a very good mood and praised repeatedly: "You all carved your own labels on the arrows. After I catch the prey today, I will collect all the arrows from the prey. Whoever shoots the most prey will get a golden dragon!"

"Long live Stark! Long live Robb!"

The Wolf Riders didn't expect that their boss would be so generous. Today, there are waves of money offensives. It's like throwing them into the eyes of money and never getting out.

This money is really easy to earn!

All the wolf cavalry were secretly happy.

The hunting activity soon came to an end. Seeing that the sky was about to darken, Robb was ready to take his wolf cavalry back to Cailin Bay.

At night, Robb kept his promise during the day, called the wolf rider who had shot the most prey to his side, and gave him a golden dragon in front of everyone.

The wolf cavalry's hands were shaking with excitement. This golden dragon could replace his armor with a brand new one!

After the reward was over, the first day of training passed without any surprises, even in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Everyone had a good sleep, looking forward to such a competition the next day, and imagining how they would be free and happy after winning a golden dragon.

Early the next morning, Robb lived up to expectations and took Gray Wind and the Wolf Riders to the forest of Cailin Bay to continue hunting.

However, today's cooperation was obviously much better. As soon as Robb's arrow left the string, countless arrows followed behind him. The reaction of the wolf cavalry was many times faster than yesterday.

Robb was very satisfied with the performance of the Wolf Riders. It was good. It was time to give them some small tests.

When Gray Wind caught a fawn again, Robb did not ride on his horse, but dismounted with a bow and arrow to inspect the prey. Then he suddenly took the bow, pointed it at the horse he had just ridden, and shot the whistle arrow.

Whoosh! Whoosh whoosh!

Most of the wolf cavalry did not hesitate and shot the arrows at Robb's horse. The poor horse was instantly stabbed into a hedgehog.

However, the reaction of three wolf cavalrymen was half a beat too slow. They were a little confused. Isn't this Lord Robb's mount? Do they really want to shoot it to death?

When they reacted and were ready to set up their bows and shoot arrows, they found that everyone was looking at them. The wolf cavalry who were around them all moved away from them in a tacit agreement, surrounding the three of them.

The three people were instantly frightened. They looked left and right to find Robb's figure and explained in a panic: "My lord... my lord... I didn't mean to..."

Robb said nothing and walked directly in front of the three people.

Robb said expressionlessly: "You are the soldiers who made mistakes for the first time, so I will give you a special treatment."

"Thank you... for your kindness."

"No, no, no, you understand wrong, this is not I will pardon your death penalty. I will give you three opportunities to duel. You three can fight together. As long as you can kill me, I will pardon you."

Robb's arrogant words shocked everyone present, and Theon was the first to stand. He came out to object: "Robb, you can't do this..."

"Shut up!"

Robb interrupted Theon and said to him in a cold tone: "You are a wolf rider now. You must remember your identity. Don't I won't remind you a second time if you do anything arrogant."

Theon was frightened by Robb's cold eyes and fell silent. The other Wolf Riders did not dare to say anything when they saw this.

The three wolf cavalry looked at me and I looked at you. They knew that they had no way to survive and had no choice but to fight.

Although attacking a noble is a capital offense in Westeros, it is also a capital offense not to take action now!

Either way, it's death, so it's better to die like a warrior.

Moreover, there are three cavalrymen on my side, and the opponent has dismounted, so the chances of winning are quite high!

How do infantry fight cavalry? The advantage is mine!

The duel began, and the remaining wolf cavalry separated the space, allowing the four people to duel openly.

The three wolf cavalry prepared their stance, picked up their spears, then tucked them under their armpits, and charged towards Robb Stark not far away, asking for the last chance of survival from the man who wanted to take their lives.

The horses stampeded together, making a sound like thunder, but Robb, standing in front of the three men, remained motionless, as if he was waiting to die, letting the spear penetrate his body.

The rest of the Wolf Riders felt nervous when they saw this, fearing that something might happen to Robb.

When the war horse was only five meters away from Robb, Robb suddenly moved.

He jumped up high, and suddenly a red thunderous light emitted from his body!

Twisted red thunder and lightning traveled around Robb's body and converged towards his hand. The lightning surged and thunder shot out, gradually converging into a long red thunder knife!

[Lance Sanks' Knife]

[The prayer that shows the power of the ancient dragon Lance Sanks can summon the red thunder knife, which sweeps from the air, and the slashes released will release thunder and lightning.]

Looking at the three wolf cavalry who were close at hand, with expressions of hell and fear written on their faces, Robb slashed the red thunder knife in his hand without hesitation."
