Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

Meanwhile in the Yang family...

After Yang Jun left two years ago no one heard of him again. Yang Xue Yue's personality changed and now she was not the same gentle senior sister. During these two years she had pushed herself so hard that even her father became worried after her as she became heartless and cruel. Her position in the sect was now unquestionable as no one with the cultivation below the earth master could rival her. Even Yang Jun in his peak could not stand a fight against an earth master when he was an earth disciple. The cultivation realms were divided into the mortal realm, earth realm, yellow realm, heavenly realm, divine realm and supreme realm. The patriarch of the Yang family was an expert at the heavenly saint realm. Each of the seven realms were divided into disciple level, master level and saint level with each having three grades. The mortal realm was the lowest level while the supreme realm was the peak of cultivation in this plane. Yang Xue Yue had pushed herself and was now a grade three earth disciple but she could rival a grade one earth master and she could go toe to toe with a grade two master. She had no equal in this generation and even some of the elders were ashamed whenever they spoke of her.

"Patriarch I am afraid that if she continues with this type of cultivation she will soon experience a dissonance in her cultivation if no one stops her, " one of the elders said." Ever since that person left no one can keep her in check so it is better to let her be. Her Asura bloodline is almost fully awakening so it is better not to seek trouble from her last she gets angry. Her bloodthirsty aura is at its peak so it is better to leave her alone. If she calms down we will have a talk," the patriarch replied calmly yet when the elders heard his statement they could no longer be calm.

The younger generation might not know the horror of the Asura bloodline but they were definitely not ignorant about it. A fully awakened Asura bloodline signifies the birth of a war god and a maniac that can slaughter a million without blinking an eye. A person with an asura bloodline would even defy the heavens if need be and would survive as each time the person gets into an intense fight it stimulates their potential making them stronger and killing them was extremely difficult as each time they were severely wounded they would unleash their peak strength. This was one of the reason why they were feared as having an Asura as your enemy was akin to gaining a life enemy that would always be at your neck. Meanwhile Yang Jun did not know all of this and even if he knew he would not care as to him the Yang family was now just a bad memory that he had already forgotten about. At this moment he was busy discussing a few issues on war with the princess." Brother Yang, I still don't understand something. The eastern part of the enemy's territory is unguarded yet you insist on attacking on the most guarded place . Are you sure you are not seeking the doom of your soldiers?" Princess Lan asked as she stared at Yang Jun straight in the eyes. Yang Jun laughed at her question as he found it somehow funny." If you could think so then they would've also thought the same and are probably waiting for my soldiers to attack using the east gate," Yang Jun replied.

"Why don't you stop taking me in circles and give me a direct answer ?" Princess Lan asked with an annoyed expression. "Okay. The enemy definitely thinks that I will be attacking through the east but if I attack through the west what do you think will happen?" Yang Jun asked as he used a few props to show the results. Princess Lan smiled at this as she nodded her head in understanding. YangvJun saw this and smiled. He then took out an handkerchief and coughed. He then hid the handkerchief from Princess Lan as he didn't want her to see it. Over the past two years his condition has been deteriorating and is no longer stable as the death qi round him is becoming denser than before. Even Princess Lan had seen this but she couldn't do anything. She knew that Yang Jun's condition could no longer be cured as his life vein was blocked and his vitality was being sucked daily. Yang Jun himself knew that his days were numbered so he tried to keep himself in check whenever he was with Princess Lan and made sure that his heart was closed such that no matter how much Princess Lan tried she couldn't get his affection rather he treated like a little sibling.

"After putting away the handkerchief Yang Jun stared at Princess Lan and took out a chessboard and started playing. Princess Lan saw this and joined him as she knew that apart from the art of war Yang Jun had immersed himself in the art of chess, tea making and playing the zither during these two years. It was said that of all the princes he was the most relaxed as he had few responsibilities so he was always laying around but he never got involved with girls and his mansion rarely had any woman working apart from Princess Lan who would often visit him. Others pitied him as according to the rumours he is not expected to live for long and will at most live for two to three more years but to him he didn't care about any of these." Brother Yang,my father is considering negotiating peace talks with the North ," princess Lan said. Yang Jun's hand paused midair with the chess piece in his hand as he stared at princess Lan. After a while his expression changed as he calmly place the chess piece on the board." I once told you that I will protect you no matter what so you don't have to worry about it. As long as you dont want to marry someone you don't like no one will force you. You are not a puppet so don't worry," Yang Jun said making a smile to bloom on Princess Lan's face but it was only for a moment.' If only you could be the one I can marry,' princess Lan said. "Brother Yang, you future wife will be blessed," Princess Lan said. Yang Jun smiled at this and did not answer.
