Chapter 117 - New task

{Mission Completed}

• Give Andres a Power Teqx

{Reward}

• Consumable +10 energy stim

Patty looked over to his inventory and saw his new reward.

[Summon Scrolls: 26]

[Patty's Do-Everything Coupon (Absolute): 0]

[Patty's Do-Everything Coupon (Discount): 5]

[Seraph of Lazarus Coupon: 2]

[+10 Energy Stim: 1]

[Magical Carrot: 10]

Patty clicked on the Stim and tried to see its description. He wanted to know if it had any limitations of some kind. If it was a stim, then did it have any expiration? If it did, then that reward wouldn't be that good at all. He could still use it to buy a 1x summon scroll, but it was wasteful.

He hoped that this Stim didn't have any expiration date so that he could use it as a last resort, his trump card. If, someday, he was forced to use up all of his energy, then this stim would come in handy.

[+10 Energy Stim: 1]

[Description]

• This is a magical stim of Energy in liquid form that can be injected into the user to give him a burst of energy. This stim can be used at any time, and if the user's energy levels are maxed out, then this stim will temporarily break the limit and go past it.

• The energy from this stim stays in the user indefinitely. However, if the user will use energy, then this will be the first one to be consumed.

• The stim itself can last forever.

Patty rejoiced within himself. This was the perfect reward for him, especially since he didn't know what would happen to him if he ran out of energy. Now, he didn't have to worry so much.

After all, he could just stack up on these stims so that whenever he was low on energy, he could go back up to his max in just 30 stims! Of course, that was a bit too much. Stims didn't come free, after all.

He could only get these stims as a reward if he completed a discounted coupon mission, which wasn't easy. If he failed to do these missions, then he would be hit with an energy debuff, putting his energy levels to half its maximum.

It was an equal transaction. If he completed the mission, he would get more energy. If he failed or refused to do the mission, then he would lose energy.

The good thing about this discounted coupon was that his life wasn't in danger. Sure, the energy debuff from failing the mission could turn ugly, but Patty had the option of removing the debuff by spending a few Yi Points.

He didn't have a lot of Yi Points to give out, but it was much better than an energy debuff.

All in all, the discounted coupon was more beneficial to Patty than not. He was considering giving these coupons to whoever he trusted so that he could farm as many stims as possible.

If he requested his friends that they should do easy tasks, then Patty could cheat the system and earn a lot of stims!

But to do that, he needed more discounted coupons. He only had four right now, which meant that he could only have 4 +10 energy stims. This wasn't enough. As a hoarder, Patty wanted to at least see that number go to second digits.

The only way to get the discounted coupons was to refuse to do one of the system's missions. Refusing to do the system's mission? Hah. Easy. He was already doing that even before he had an incentive like the energy stim.

Patty found it funny that the supposed punishment became the complete opposite because he found an exploit.

But Patty wasn't the only one having fun. Andres was still stupefied with his new powers. He was looking at his clone as if he was looking at a mirror. And despite looking the same as his clone, there was no doubt in his mind that he was the original.

Although from the outside it looked like he split evenly, Andres' perspective was different. From his perspective, a part of his body split away from him. He didn't move at all. That meant that the part of his body that separated from him was his clone.

"I'm the clone, you're the original," said the clone Andres.

Andres nodded. Because they were the same person, the original Andres knew what the clone was thinking. It was probably weirded out by the situation, but extremely excited at the possibilities.

"This is so cool!" exclaimed the clone.

"Right?!" nodded the original. "What's our birthday?"

""Feb 27!!"" both of them said at the same time.

"What happened at the Christmas party when we were seven?" asked the clone.

""We secretly peed in the pool!"" they both said.

"Yuck!" said all three of them. Patty didn't have to hear that information from them.

The original Andres and the clone both looked at each other in happiness. It was like he was looking at his twin brother. They have a hidden connection, even though they can't telepathically communicate.

And the original Andres knew that the clone would never betray him. After all, he wouldn't betray himself. He wasn't crazy! He also knew that he could reabsorb the clone whenever he wanted so that was another safety feature that was there, even though Andres didn't think he'd need it.

"This is amazing," the original Andres said. Meanwhile, the clone knew that having two people talk to one person would be too confusing, so he just started to clean Patty's house.

"You not only gave me a new chance at life with a Power Teqx, you didn't just give me any random one, you gave me exactly what I wanted. This is beyond words. I don't know how you did it, but you have officially become much more impressive than the idols and CEOs of the entire world."

"You could have made me pay 1,000,000 Chains, you could have given me 12 heavy labor missions, you could have made me beg. The Supremes know that all other companies would have done that if they had your powers."

"But you didn't. You only asked me to keep your power quiet. That was all I had to do. And in return, you have made my dream come true. I feel like the path to my ultimate dream has just widened by a kilometer."

"Before I had this Teqx, I saw only a forest filled with traps and pitfalls that would immediately lead to my death. And if I somehow miraculously got through that, I would have to face another insurmountable wall at the end."

"That was how I saw the world. But now, I see it plain and clearly. And it is all thanks to you."

"My silence is not enough to show my gratitude. I want to repay you by being your invisible hand. If you need something done in the shadows, then I will become a ghost. If you need something to find, then I will scour the sewers and drains to find it."

"I will be your everyday man. I can complete any odd job that is too menial for a superior being like you."

When Andres joined the Ruobber company, he was forced to do all kinds of jobs for his superiors. He always thought that it was below him. He hated it. Cleaning toilets and doing laundry was never his dream.

However, once he received this Teqx from Patty, his perspective changed. Maybe all of that was fate doing its work. All the menial jobs he did at the Ruobber company can now come in handy in serving his new master, Patty.

Once he understood the majesty and power of Patty, he saw Patty not as a normal student, but as a star destined to go back to the heavens and carve his place in the cosmos. He was destined to become a peak being.

Others may think it was exaggerated, but Andres thought that someday, Patty could become a Supreme Being! That was blasphemous. If anyone heard that, Andres would land in jail and be exported to a prison where he had to worship only Supreme Beings, not other people like Patty.

But Andres believed in Patty wholeheartedly. His dream now changed. He wanted to help Patty reach the top. Once he reached the world level and was dealing with otherworldly business, then Andres could become the person who'd help him everywhere, anywhere, all at once!

Now everything made sense! This was his destiny! Andres felt like fate itself had intervened and put him in Patty's path. Now, it was his job to hitch his wagon to this superstar, and he would also become successful!

Patty was a bit overwhelmed with Andres' reaction. After all, it was just a D-class Teqx. From his perspective, it wasn't all that valuable. It only cost him less than 3000 Credits.

However, when Andres said that he could do anything for him, he got an idea.

"I do have something that needs to be taken care of." Patty then took out the Kores from his Space Ring. "I need you to deliver these to Leonard's laboratory."

Andres took the Kores in his hand. Even though the Kores were probably worth a million Chains, Andres wasn't all that surprised. If Patty could give out any Teqx he wanted, then a few high-quality Kores weren't all that special.

"Oh, and here's 50,000 Chains. Buy yourself a new Space Ring to hide that Kore."

And that wasn't enough.

"Also, eat these Carrots. It'll make you stronger."

Patty gave him the Magical Carrot. Each one of those will give Andres 1 Yi Power!
