Xandra was escorted out of the premises by the attendants of the Chain Training Hall. They were dealing with a VIP, so they made sure to accommodate all of her needs.
"Did you enjoy your stay in the Training Hall?" asked one of the attendants on the elevator.
Unfortunately, Xandra wasn't in the mood for talking. She kept her head down and had a weird expression on her face. The attendants looked at each other. Something bad must have happened around her that made her face look like this. Usually, Xandra would chat with them and build a rapport even with lowly attendants like them, but this time, Xandra was as quiet as a mouse. There was something wrong.
"Has the Training Hall done any wrong, Miss?" asked the attendant again.
But Xandra didn't answer again. This was weird. The delightful and charming Xandra was nowhere to be seen. This was the first time they saw her in such a bad mood. They wanted to help her, but judging from her reactions, there was nothing they could do to make her feel better.
DING
The elevator opened to the top floor where Xandra's hover car was parked. A valet parker already had it prepared and opened the door for Xandra to enter.
She walked over to the car silently, and not even stopping to greet the valet attendant. She closed the door as the hover car started and hovered above the ground before it blasted off into the air without any warning. The attendants were left dumbfounded, thinking that they had done something wrong to harbor such adverse reactions from one of their favorite VIPs.
TINKK
The attendants were notified of something from their smartwatches. Their eyes bulged when they saw that it was a tip from Xandra herself! Not only that, the amount she gave to them was multiple times bigger than what she usually gave them! Usually, their tip would only be 10,000 Chains each! But their eyes couldn't believe their eyes when they saw another zero on their bank accounts.
100,000 Chains! Xandra just tipped them a life-changing amount of money!
They were even more confused than before. They thought Xandra was mad at something, but then why would she tip them this kind of money? Was it some weird power play? They didn't know. A woman's mind was hard to understand, but a rich woman's mind was indecipherable, especially a beauty like her.
Meanwhile, as soon as the hovercar left the Chain Training Hall, Xandra's face suddenly changed. Her face of indifference and icy cold face morphed into something that was bright red and filled with feverish insanity. She was just waiting until nobody else could see her until she finally let go of the smile she was holding onto for so long.
"he..heheh…Hehehehe…HEHEHEHEHE"
Her whole face was flushed with intense happiness, elation, ecstasy, and euphoria all in one. The regal composure that proper ladies like her always wore was nowhere to be seen. It was like her proper and genteel face outside was nothing more than a facade that she wore all the time, and only now was she able to show her true self. If those close to Xandra, like Beatrice, saw her now, they would not recognize her.
Xandra took out her phone and used her fingerprints to unlock it. As soon as she saw what was inside her phone, her eyes almost turned into the shape of a heart. Her pupils dilated to the point that it almost covered her iris. Her brain released oxytocin and spread it all over her body, making her feel all warm and fuzzy. She felt over the moon.
She puffed her lips and kissed her phone like she was kissing a real person. She didn't even care that her lipstick stuck to the screen. In fact, it made her feel like she marked it as hers with her kiss mark.
"Oh, Patty…you're much more handsome than I thought…." Xandra said as she put her hands on her cheeks and gazed at a voyeuristic picture of Patty while they were in the cafe. She swiped on her phone and looked at the moment when their hands touched and her heart exploded into a million bits. She watched the CCTV video of the moment when Patty agreed to the date. She played and stopped the video every moment she could, just so that she could see how handsome Patty looked when he was flustered.
This was the only time that she could fully express how much she wanted to take Patty for herself. There were many times throughout the day when she found control to be a crutch that she wanted to break, but she reminded herself that this was not the time yet. She had to control herself.
She wanted her meeting with Patty to be a normal meet-cute. She wanted to present herself as someone who was a normal girl forced to go on a date with a random guy in the cafe. That was their official meeting. That would make their eventual romance even more special and make it as if fate had a hand in their lives.
"I can't believe I met you in real life!" she said at Patty's picture as if she was talking to a real person. "You did such a good job in acting so indifferent, you rascal. But I forgive you, hehehe. I know you'll warm up to me eventually."
Even though it happened only recently, she reminisced about the moment when Patty showed off his strength and taught that disgusting alpha guy a lesson. She was so proud of Patty at that moment. She knew that he was much manly and much stronger than any guy that ever lived in the history of humanity! She wanted to teach the alpha guy a lesson herself, but she knew that it would have been a good scene for Patty to show off his skills a little bit at that time. When she saw how astonished and stupefied everyone was at Patty's strength, she couldn't help herself and gave up on her urges. She kissed Patty on the cheeks.
Oh, and of course, she had to give a round of applause for her friend, Beatrice. Xandra knew that Beatrice would react negatively towards Patty, and it only served to make his eventual reveal of strength that much more special! Without her, Xandra wouldn't have been able to make an excuse about the date.
Everything went perfectly according to Xandra's plan. With her special Chromic eyes, she knew that bringing Beatrice to a cafe would bring her the most happiness out of everything. The colors don't lie. She didn't know what that was, but she knew that it would be good and benefit her the most. The moment she saw Patty enter the cafe, she knew that she had hit the jackpot.
She almost couldn't keep her composure seeing Patty's handsomeness right in front of her. She also chose her table near the entrance because her eyes told her that it had the highest possibility of giving her happiness. It turned out correct when Patty and his friend sat right next to her.
"Oh, how I want to meet you again," she hugged her phone, dreaming that she was hugging the real Patty.
When she was leaving, a burst of sadness entered her mind. She didn't want to leave Patty alone, but she knew that this was not the time for her to linger. Her eyes told her that if she stayed longer, there was a possibility that Patty was the one who said goodbye to her. That can't happen. She would die when she heard those words come out of his mouth. So, she decided to leave first because she knew that she would be with him sooner or later.
In the end, she wanted to kiss him on the lips, but she stopped herself at the last second. Their first kiss must be more special than that, with fireworks in the sky, the moonlight shining under them, and the scenery being ethereal.
"The moment I saw you destroy a Fiendish Armament without even touching it was the moment I decided you were going to be my prince charming!"
—---------------------
Patty finally reached his home, with Sam pushing him.
"There, you're home. I can't believe that this was supposed to be our guy's night out, but you ended up striking out on a girl. What happened to Xandra and Beatrice?"
Patty shrugged. "I don't know. She left."
"I shouldn't have left you all alone with them. If I was there, I could have invited them to go with us to a club or something where we could all get to know each other better."
"Club? Meh."
"Dude, she was a really beautiful girl, you should have put on the moves."
"I hate moving."
Sam shook his head in disappointment. He thought Patty would finally experience what it was like to become a teenager, but his laziness always wins. There was no helping him.
"On your next date, I hope you finally seal the deal."
Patty thought back. "I don't think she liked me all that much. She won't be meeting with me any time soon."
