Chapter 17 - Relations?

In the overworld, silence filled the atmosphere as Leonel and the other six men looked towards the Gate of Severance.

As others were left bewildered about what had just happened. Leonel had eyes filled with apprehension.

Sweat drooped down his forehead as he looked at others with eyes of worry.

However, before the words left his mouth, purple lightning cracked through the Gate of Severance.

A considerable amount of energy rushed out from the gate as a man with white hair and blue eyes came into view.

'How long has it been?' Rafael thought while bathing in sunlight.

A smile of joy appeared after an eternity on Rafael's face.

'Sigh'

Rafael took a deep breath as his eyes went towards the army in front of him with narrowed eyes.

The black hole where Rafael fell into was purely a coincidence. The Essence inside that Dark Dimension helped Rafael awaken his judgement and evolved his Essence into Judgemental Energy.

That's how he defeated the 10th commander previously. However, right now, he was out of Essence. He had taken his body to the limits by using his Judgement to create a black hole.

After all, his Judgement had just awakened. He was not used to it.

Rafael's appearance had also returned to normal. The Darkness that had engulfed half of his body was also gone. His terrifying aura had also waned out.

Quite a bit of his white hair was covered in blood, so was the case with his face.

A brief moment of silence covered the atmosphere.

In that moment, Leonel stepped forward with a somber expression. His eyes showed recognition and apprehension with immense hope aswell.

Rafael saw this with narrowed eyes. His arm sleeves were torn partially. His black trousers were fine as his eyes showed killing intent.

He had learned from the time with his parents to never trust anyone, no matter the case. Additionally, his time in hell enhanced this principle of his even more.

At the moment, he was ready to deploy all of his skills as he couldn't use his judgement at the moment. He also wanted to see the changes within the system, but the circumstances never allowed him to do so.

His eyes glowed as another, terrifying but not as before, aura surged out. Rafael would absolutely not hesitate to go on a massacre.

However, Leonel immediately raised his hands, signalling imminent peace.

Rafael, seeing this, lowered his killing intent and aura a little. His grudge was towards his parents and those involved. He would not imply his grudge towards everyone just because he had some stupid parents.

Seeing Rafael's reply, Leonel smiled as he brought his hands down.

Furthermore, he spoke...

"I did not think you would end up in hell. The Greatest of talent in all of Eternity, Rafael Crux," Leonel said as the eyes of everyone present in the army widened in surprise.

-Flashback-

A child with white hair and blue eyes stepped out of a carriage. His eyes darted here and there innocently as a lady with a heinous aura came out of the carriage as well.

This was the first time Rafael had ever seen the outside world. Since the day he born, he was always thought of as a pathetic talent, mostly due to the fact that he almost died during birth.

He was always tortured and had to act on the basis of other people's opinions. However, when the time came for the talent measurement, the light in his eyes, at the very least, was not begone as it was now.

Rafael was overall very beautiful; his innocent expression, along with his beautiful white hair that had a snowy inkling, just proved this statement even more.

As his blue eyes darted around, he was suddenly pushed, falling to the ground.

"No one's got the time of day, you stupid freak. Your brother will be going first, so get out of the way," The lady behind Rafael, supposedly his mother, yelled at 3-year-old Rafael, who had fallen to the ground.

Tears filled Rafael's eyes. However, he held back as images of severe torture flashed in his mind.

In less than a minute, Rafael had stood up and went to the side, standing alongside his younger brother, who was about to enter the magnificent palace in front of him.

A crowd was watching all this. However, they pretended as if nothing had ever happened. They continued with their cheers as the younger brother entered the magnificent palace.

The palace had a huge courtyard filled with several beautiful flowers and gardens. Golden and quartz-made tiles covered it as several runes, captivating to the eye, were present.

In the front of the courtyard was the balcony of the palace, on which was a man with a back as straight as an arrow standing. His eyes were crystal-coloured, and his hair was sapphire-like blue.

Standing aside the black-haired man, supposedly the king, was a man covered in hood. His face was fully covered, and his white hood did the same with his hands.

Public knew these people, as the God Blessed Paladins. Supposedly, these people are blessed by divinity from God. However, as the era became more advanced in magic and cultivation, people came to realize many truths.

As such, the reputation of the Paladins went down the drain. However, they were still quite useful for talent measuring. After all, they are the most experienced mages and warriors in the current era, at least.

The Younger brother stepped in the middle of a golden rune, present at the centre of the courtyard. The Paladin brought his hand forward as he chanted something in a "mysterious language".

The King's eyes brimmed with expectation for an unknown reason as golden lightning started to engulf the younger brother.

Several Dragons with a goldish colour rose from it as the sun glowed with even more vibrancy.

The Dragons burst forward, covering the sky above the palace. The Lady, supposedly Rafael's mother, started to laugh as she pushed Rafael forward.

"You can go now, filthy piece of shit. Your brother's done," The Lady said to Rafael as he stood up.

Rafael moved forward as the crowd's cheers died down. The crowd which was once seeing Rafael's little brother with happiness and cheer, was now filled with disdain and ugly expressions.

He, however, was quite used to this by now. The number of times his parents had tried to humiliate him in public and give him a bad reputation was almost unnumerable.

At this point, even hating felt useless to Rafael.

As Rafael entered the palace. The King started to stare at him. Rafael looked towards the King, trying to figure out why he was being stared at.

'This kid...' The King thought as he tried his best not to show the shock he just got.

"My lord, this kid is the notorious one from Count Damien's family. It's better if we don't bother with him." The Paladin said with a hint of disdain in his eyes towards Rafael.

"No need to believe blindly; we can bother our resources on him." The King replied nonchalantly.

The Paladin nodded and bowed immediately.

Later on, he brought his hand forward as purple lightning started to surround Rafael.

The King's eyes widened as he saw the appearance of purple lightning.

"Don't tell me..."
