At the sound of Ace's voice, Celine jerked, and turned around to face the furious glare of her nephew.
"Why would I do anything to her? We were just talking," she said in a pretend voice.
"Talking? Look at her," he pointed a raging finger. "She's crying."
"Tears of joy. We had a rather lovely discussion that brought her to tears, right darling?" She asked without turning to Fay.
Ace eyes went to Fay. She was shivering, and trembling, with tears running down her eyes. But as she raised her head up, there was a smile on her face. "Your Aunt is right. We were just having a really emotional discussion, and it got me in my feelings. Don't read too much into it," she rose to her feet, wiping her face with the back of her hand. "Thank you for stopping by. If you'll excuse me now." She bowed and hurried up the stairs.
"Do you have no shame?" Ace asked, when Fay had disappeared out of sight.
