The staff scampered for safety, as he pulled one leg back. With a heavy force, he projected it forward, stomping the door.
There was no movement, no cracks, not even a slight bend. The only damage was on his muscles which he almost pulled.
Cam, who had exited the passage before, returned with an ax in his hand.
"I think you should move back boss," he suggested, tapping his shoulders.
He turned around in anger, but paused when his eyes fell on the ax. "Go ahead." He nudged his head towards the door.
"I hope the madam is safe. Why's she not coming out, Alice? Why isn't she coming out?" Marilyn bawled her eyes out.
"She'll be fine Mar. I trust the lord to protect her." She hugged her friend into her body, comforting her, as she herself prayed.
