"I'm sorry." I did want to trap you in my arms but I thought it was a dream. I hope you don't take it in a weird way.
It was Owen's turn to apologize but only the first two words made it out of his mouth.
Lucy was keeping her repentant face but she was obviously also confused with Owen's apology that the man felt the need to talk more.
"I mean, I didn't mean to grab you like that. You must have been scared."
"No, I'm not." Lucy was not scared. She was surprised and nervous, but not scared, she didn't feel anything anything even remotely similar to that emotion. "I was actually more nervous that you'd be angry that I barged into your room — twice."
"I see." Owen unintentionally let off a smile. There was instant relief in his chest with the way Lucy answered his question. He rustles his hair innocently as he noticeably tries to hold back from smiling more.
