001: Death and Rebirth

It was a whirlwind of events, from the moment we bickered with each other, to the time we were caught in an accident, and then death came for both of us. 

When YunXiang opened her eyes, she was confused at the sight that greeted her. It was both familiar and unfamiliar.

"Who am I?" She whispered to herself as she looked at her small hands.

Am I YunXiang of Earth, or YunXiang of the Wei Family?

The memories in her mind cannot be faked, so at this moment, a six year old girl has the memories of two lives. 

The two memories mixed together, with no proper separation, confusing the girl's mind. In the end, the pain in her head and soul made her faint.

The sky was already bright when she woke up a few hours later.

"I am Wei YunXiang," She whispered as she stared at the ceiling where green and pink intertwined to form a beautiful color scheme that is pleasing to the eye.

Wei YunXiang is the only daughter of this generation in the Wei Family of Holy Tree City. There are five major families in Holy Tree City, each family has at least one Mind Activation Realm cultivator.

Wei Family is well-known to have three Mind Activation Realm cultivators, despite having a small number of people in the family, it's a top-notch force.

As the only daughter of the fourth generation of Wei Family, Wei YunXiang's status is beyond her peers.

Yesterday, Wei YunXiang has been trying to introduce spiritual energy into her body. It was successful but it also triggered something in her soul, prompting the past life memories to emerge. 

The short-lived but colorful life of her past life brought a new perspective to the young girl, the 30 years of memories made her faint in confusion.

 "I am now at the first level of Energy Refining Realm," There's a sigh of relief in her tone. At the age of 7, Wei YunXiang started her cultivation journey.

"I should go to the elders and tell the good news." 

Wei YunXiang rang the bell, calling for the maids outside to help her with bathing and clothing. A group of maid lined neatly entered the room and started their tasks.

Wei YunXiang was a little unaccustomed to being served closely, the memories she had yesterday had no things like cultivation, and the hierarchy there was not as strict as in her current world.

However, it only lasted for a second before being extinguished. She still understands the difference between both worlds means different customs and more. 

In the world of Azar, slavery is common. 

"Young Miss, would you like to wear today?" A maid asked softly to the little girl.

The little girl has soft black hair flowing in her back, her eyes always seem to shine with cleverness and mischief, and her lips and cheeks are soft pink. 

The girl spoke politely, "Today is a good day so let's wear yellow!"

The people in the room smiled at her words and quickly chose the clothing and accessories she'd wear.

A beautiful yellow robe with embroideries of flowers was presented to Wei YunXiang, she opened her arms and the maids helped her. Then her hair was tied with a simple white jade hairpin that had carvings of butterflies. 

Wei YunXiang refused the other hair accessories presented, not wanting to have those bothersome things on her head. In other aspects, she was still affected by her past memories. Otherwise, she wouldn't care what the maids put on her head and body, her mind would only focus on her practice.

The maids were surprised but didn't speak, they watched her choose a pair of small white jade carved into chrysanthemum earrings and a thin white jade bracelet.

Wei YunXiang looked at herself in the mirror, satisfied with her simple but refreshing look. 

"Let's go to the main hall," She left without looking back, her step having small skips, showing her bright mood.

A few maids were left to clean the room and most of them followed the little girl.

The Wei Mansion is large, with many courtyards and pavilions scattered. There are also spiritual fields and gardens in some places protected with array formations. In her opinion, the whole Wei Mansion is not inferior to any towns in her previous life.

Wei YunXiang didn't take any sedan or transportation tool but walked the whole way to the main hall. The scenery in Wei Family is quite good, like a place where fairies lived.

The pavement is made from mortal-grade blue bricks, covering the whole mansion. The cost was quite a sum if calculated. Then beside the walkway were mortal-grade trees, the variety was quite rich but she noticed that most of them were fruit trees. 

The season is just right for the fruit trees to start flowering, making the whole place covered in fragrant flowers.

The maids following her felt quite strange at the young miss actions, usually, she didn't even look at these things but now she was walking slowly as she took in the surroundings.

No one spoke though.

When they arrived at the main hall, there were already quite a few people inside. Wei YunXiang was not surprised because although cultivators always cultivate in seclusion which took years, the cultivators in the Bright Light Dynasty are quite different.

Their cultivation is mostly based on the art they are cultivating. Bright Light Dynasty has the Four Divine Arts; music, painting, calligraphy, and chess. But besides the four mentioned arts, there are many more arts scattered in different forces.

Wei family's famous divine art is the Enlightenment Tea Technique, a tea-making technique. There are no attack skills in the technique but pure auxiliary skills. 

As long as the person's understanding of the arts is deep, their cultivation will follow.

"Greetings to Great Grandpa, Great Grandma, Grandpa, Grandma, Father, and Mother." Wei YunXiang happily called her elders but suddenly exclaimed when she saw someone from the corner of her eyes.

"Ah! Uncle, you're here!" Her excitement was obvious from the previous bland greetings.

The people sitting at the table laughed happily. 

"Of course, I'm here," The young man she called uncle said playfully. "I heard that you successfully introduced spiritual energy in your Dantian, so I hurried home."

Wei YunXiang rolled her eyes, "I know it's your vacation, of course, you'll go home."

Her uncle smiled sheepishly at his niece's words.

"Okay, okay. You two stop bickering and sit down." It was an old man whose voice was full of power.

"Yes Great Grandpa." Wei YunXiang sat in her seat beside her mother. Her mother pulled her chair to help her sit.

Everyone waited for the old man to take the first bite before started eating. It was a custom to show respect.

"XiangXiang, when did you introduce spiritual energy in your Dantian?" It was her young uncle, Wei JinYu, who asked. He at the chair opposite her beside Grandma.

"Yesterday afternoon," Wei YunXiang sipped her soup before continuing, "By the way, how did you know?"

Wei JinYu laughed mysteriously, "Your uncle is so awesome, of course I know."

The girl's face crumpled at her uncle's obvious nonsense words. Before she bickered with her uncle again, her Grandma exposed him with a laugh. 

"We noticed the spiritual energy in you when you just entered. No one knows it before you left your boudoir."

Wei YunXiang threw a disgruntled look at her shameless uncle before thanking her Grandma.
